Baltic Wharf is a great site for a base to explore Bristol. The site has a great central location on the edge of the harbour and is both clean and well run. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and explore within easy walking distance. It is easy to focus on central Bristol with the old city and St Nicholas market worth a visit, whilst there is also Clifton with its cafe culture and suspension bridge, and Southville over the river with supermarkets, butchers and Bristol Brewery. If you enjoy cycling try the Bristol to Bath cycle way. A stop at the Bird in Hand Pub towards Bath is worth a visit for good food and beer.
