Just had a week at this site and would definitely recommend. The site itself is relatively small with pretty much standard facilities for the CC. What really sets this site apart is the location which is fantastic. We didn't take the car off the site for the whole week because there is so much to, we did a 12 mile cycle ride down the side of the Avon which is right outside the site entrance, you can walk into town along the side of the harbour and if you wear yourself out looking at all the historical sights (not to mention bars and restaurants!) take the ferry beck across the harbour for 80p pp. If you you don't want to venture that far the Cottage Inn is right next to the site with good quality food and beers. Right outside the entrance is a stop for the open top city tour which is really worth while because the city has so much history, the SS Great Britain is 200 yards away, you can see the Clifton Suspension Bridge from the site and there are numerous free museums within walking distance. There is still loads that we didn't manage to do and we will certainly be back!
