Excellent location in a buzzing city

We have been meaning to try this site for some time and finally managed to book on during my half term holiday. We were so glad we made the effort - its a fabulous location with the city and other attractions within easy walking distance or ferry ride which is great. Bristol itself has lots to offer, from the old city, harbourside and wharf areas to the Clifton suspension bridge, observatory, country park, the zoo and a modern shopping centre. Many of the bars are dog friendly and there are lots of places to eat and drink. People were friendly and welcoming wherever we went and the atmosphere is great. Its worthwhile taking the time to find out about the area (over the river a short distance away is a local shopping area with an Aldi and several bars and gift shops) and if you're a footy fan Bristol City's ground is within easy walking distance. There is also a lovely park also a short walk away. I do think the information centre should contain some of this information rather than just the standard attractions leaflets as there is so much to do which is interesting and free. Walk round the city and there are 'Banksy's' to see and the industrial and engineering heritage and Brunel's legacy round the wharf is fascinating too. Overall a fantastic location - hopefully if the lease is not renewed the club will find somewhere equally as convenient to replace it.
