Baltic Wharf well worth a visit

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site is situated right next door to the dock side. A great site if you want to stop over in Bristol to visit the sights without paying those silly city prices. The CC Site is what you would expect to find when it comes to cleanliness and high standards in the clubs facility's. The site is a little cramped with not a lot of space between vans, this is due to the number of vans they try to accommodate on a site that was full when we visited in January 2017. Walk through the security gate at the bottom of the site and you step out on to the Wharf. Here you can jump on a water taxi (£3 return for CC Members) and 10 mins later in your in the heart of the city. Passing some wonderful sites along the way. In the city you will find a great shopping experience, loads of tea rooms, Pubs and Restaurants. There's even a big wheel you can jump on and see more of the city.On our return trip we where dropped off out side the Cottage pub which is right next door to the CC site. Here you will find a large selection of Ales, good quality meals and very a friendly service. On the second day we decided to walk into the city by following the dock side path, took us about 30 mins and that was also stopping to take photos of the SS Great Britton, dock side cranes and trucks, the oldest steam ship in the world and the famous Balmorals steam ship. We will certainly return again, taking in consideration you need to book early as its a very popular site. My only negative point was we lost our electric power on one of the nights and only the warden could reset. Most poles had trip fuses, ours unfortunately had the fuses sealed inside the post, worth checking when parking just in case you accidently overload.
