Another great stay

Been here many times in our caravan and now motorhome. Great location, easy walking distance into town. Lovely fish and chips at the Mermaid Fish Bar. Lots of charity shops and good market on Tuesdays. Very quiet for once 9/2. Will return.

Another great stay

Our second stay in the last year in our motorhome. Great location. Used the water taxi and bus to get into town. Used the Cottage Inn for evening meals, good portions, nice food. Drove across to Bath. Not great roads/journey but Bath lovely.  Really enjoyed Baltic again, let's hope they can sort out a positive outcome for this site post August.

Jewel in the crown

This was our first visit to the site and we liked it so much that we have booked again for March. Location is superb for both walking and biking, with all the city's attractions so accessible. The only down side is that we understand the site is to close in August, as the City Council are looking to sell the site possibly for a new school but more than likely for yet more lucrative waterfront apartments. We realise local authorities need to realise their assets in these chastened times, but surely this site needs to be retained for public use. Is the Caravan Club in discussion with the Council over its future, or does the Club need to help support local people in trying to make the case for its retention?

Can we save this excellent site?

Another excellent week at Baltic Wharf. Site full every night as usual. Myra and Derek the wardens top class! However the thought that this site will close at the end of Aug 2015 fills us with sadness as we have spent many happy hours here over the years. Can the club please try to purchase the land or whatever it takes to secure it for the Club's future use? If its just a money problem lets set up a fund to try to save it. Its well worth making the effort. When its gone its gone!

We just love this site

This was not our first visit as, for us, Baltic Wharf is one of our great favourites. There's nothing one can say that hasn't already been said for this lovely site, and we'll be very sorry to see it close. Having said that, we were told by a local that the site is to be developed as a new school, so it will be good for Bristol. We can only hope that the Club will be able to secure another site, so that we can all continue to enjoy this great city.

Please fight to stay open

This was our first visit to Baltic Wharf. We chose the site specifically as we were going to an event in the Colston Hall, and the location was ideal. Easy walking distance to SS Great Britain and short taxi ride to Colston Hall in evening. Regular ferries into centre of Bristol from adjacent riverside. The site was well kept and even in early February full. All the staff were more than helpful and willing to share their local knowledge, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would like to go back but the site is fully booked until its proposed closing date. Is there any on line petition or similar to keep the site open? We would definitely sign up!

Welcoming wardens

How lovely it was to receive such a warm, friendly welcome on a recent visiit to Baltic Wharf. The new wardens could not have been more helpful.  This really is a super spot for a holiday in Bristol and we do hope that the Council will change its mind about the closure.
