This was our first visit to Sarah & David's site and we'll definitely return soon.
The lane up to the site is narrow but isn't a problem if you take care.
David was quick to come out and meet us with the information pack. Why on earth don't all CL's have these?
Serviced pitches, clean loos with showers in a quiet secluded setting with spaces for FIVE outfits. No additional pitches hidden away! TV signal was good and our tired mobiles managed to pick up a signal most of the time.
Loads to see in the area. We recommend Stokesay Castle, Attingham Park gardens and the eclectic 'antique' market in Church Stretton. Good food and excellent ales in the Nag's Head. Try the walk up Earl's Hill, you can start it from the site.
Thank you David and Sarah for your lovely welcome.
Fist time with the club and 2024
Lovely welcome, great little site, good clean amenities. Lovely village made to feel very welcome by all in the village. We will be back. Thank you again David and Sarah for such a welcome. First time of using a site charging for electric as you go by coin machine but no problem. We used £5.10 for the whole weekend and we used electric kettle and the fan heater at times just to see how costing would work out and more than happy to pay going forward its only fair that you pay fir what you choose to use. See you again after my op. Xx

Tranquility is assured but not everything is ok
Spent 4 nights here last week and enjoyed our stay. This is a small CL site with 5 spacious pitches all fully serviced. On arrival getting to the site was up a narrow lane with poorly edged road service and large potholes. I should imagine in a large Moho it would be a struggle. Nothing was mentioned when booking but I had noticed on another review it was mentioned, but we thought we would give it a try. We got a really warm, cheery welcome from the host, who gave us a file full of site details, contact number and places of interest, a brilliant idea. All the Pitches are hard standing, slighty uneven, but nothing too dramatic. The are 2 toilets/shower rooms which were clean at all times. One was a little more tired than the other with damp and some mold. On booking I asked what the signal was like and was told it was ok, some people get a signal some don't. We parked on 2 separate piches and sadly the signal for both the TV and my mobile was very poor. We have a ee 4G booster but it didn't help at all. All electric is via a metre which takes £1 and £2 pound coins so remember to take change.
I suppose the question is would we return..................maybe
Wonderful site
A lovely little CL. Wonderful walks and a nice little village with a great butchers. Great bus link to Shrewsbury
Dave and Sarah very kindly cut the hedges down the lane to the site which was a really nice gesture as we were a big van. Lovely couple whom were very helpful.
Unfortunately only stayed 1 night due to circumstances but will definitely stay again.
Peaceful but large outfits beware!
Just spent a week at this site. The good points are that it is extremely peaceful, with no noise whatsoever. The owner was very friendly and helpful, especially on arrival when our motor mover stopped working and he went out of his way to help get us onto the pitch. As mentioned in other reviews, he hands you a comprehensive information folder and gives lots of useful local information, which is a nice touch. Two toilets and showers which are spacious and clean.
However, the approach lane to the site is a very narrow track, especially with an 8ft wide twin-axle van.
As you enter the actual site, the hedges narrow the space even more and we ended up with branches scraping all down the van, especially as you have to avoid rocks sticking out on the opposite side as well! I had asked if access was good and was told it was, but it was nerve racking going back out of the site when we left.
I always check if access is good when I research a site, so in the interest of fairness and helping future visitors, I really wanted to point out how tight this site approach is for larger vans.

Amazing Little Site
Amazing site in a great location with transport links into Shrewsbury if required. This is the most peaceful site I’ve ever been on and thoroughly recommend if you’re looking for some peace and tranquility.
The instructions on the web page are spot on, I just wish the club would give owners bigger signs, as they are easily missed.
Sarah and David were lovely hosts, they weren’t on site when we arrived, as we were earlier than expected, however Sarah replied to my email and advised they would see us on their return, which they did.
They have done amazing little info packs for each pitch, which were exceptionally useful, they include menus for the local pubs etc, bus time tables.
Pitches and the grounds are very well kept, and I love the picnic benches beside each pitch, it’s a great idea to have this. Facilities on the site are first class and spotlessly clean, I’ve never used a pay as you go meter before for electric hookup, definitely think this is the way to go, as it’s good to see the costings.
We walked into the near by village and visited the Nags head pub I’d say a good 15 min leisurely walk. Definitely recommend and if you have a pooch it’s dog friendly too.
Would definitely recommend the site and it’s hosts, and we will definitely return again
Beautiful CL
We received a lovely warm welcome from Sarah & David and were provided with a very useful leaflet re the site itself as well as a very interesting information booklet for places of local interest, including public transport and a variety of eateries. The site itself is superbly laid out and immaculately kept. The shower / toilet blocks were spotless. A very short walk into the nearby village provides everything needed to support an enjoyable break. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the not too distant future : Thank you both.
Peace and tranquility
We have just stayed for two nights and enjoyed every moment. Very tidy and the owners are lovely. Dave has a lot of knowledge of motor homes and gave us some help and advice when we arrived. We were provided with a great deal of information on arrival. Its very peaceful, only 6 spaces for caravans of motorhomes. Toilets/showers were very clean. Local pubs close by as well as other eateries. Will definitely return.
A great CL
If you were looking for a CL that has everything then this is it. The owners were away and we received a warm welcome from Pete who was covering. A welcome cuppa after a long journey was very welcome as was the glass of wine after dinner. We were provided with pack with plenty of local info.
The toilet and showers, separate cubicles were spotless throughout our 4 day stay.
Pete keep in touch without being obtrusive.
Peaceful apart from an occasional helicopter with plenty of local walks. Easy access to
Shrewsbury.
A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country.
Communication with Sarah one of the owners was excellent.
Signposting from Shrewsbury Is a little hidden so take it slowly as you enter Pontesford
It’s a cracker!
Stayed here for 5 nights! Sarah and David were the perfect hosts! On arrival they gave us a folder with lots of useful information in and giving us a heads up as to the local area (go to Auntie Nellies Cafe for breakfast, the Horseshoe pub (lovely meal and the local bakery Hignetts of Pontesbury for lovely bread).
The toilets and showers were lovely.
