An Outstanding CL

“Woodville” is located on a family smallholding belonging to Dave and Sarah. They’re experienced motorhomers and this is evidenced in the layout of the site and the warm welcome they afford every visitor. The site is tucked away approximately 300ms from the main road, it’s very quiet and secluded with no passing traffic. This is a really nice location. The local area is dominated by Pontesford Hill, which is clearly visible from the site and linked by a series of footpaths to the CL. You can walk directly from Woodville to the summit of Pontesford Hill entirely off-road, so ideal for visitors with kids or dogs. The Woodville site fees are £13pn, for this you get a grassed pitch(neatly cut), your own fresh water supply, grey waste drain and 16A EHU. Sarah also provides each pitch with their own local information folder. 3G/Freeview are workable in the area, so it's ideal if your staying for a few days and need communication. The larger village of Pontesbury is also within easy walking distance, with some local shops and a couple of pubs that serve food. This is an outstanding site in typically english countryside. We will re-visit.

EXCELLENT SITE TEN OUT OF TEN

This is one of the best CL sites we have been on. Grass nice and short,. Flower beds separating pitches giving it that little extra touch. .You have the ease of your own tap and drain as well as electric point so no messing about with collecting water or emptying waste. Lights on the electric bollards which make it cosy at night. Lovely surroundings and nice walks within the site. Owners exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. Sandie and Dave

The Best.

This is the best CL site we have stayed on, peaceful, beautiful scenery and lovely walks from the site. It is pretty, well kept and amazingly has electric, water taps and waste drainage for every pitch. The electric bollard even has a light on it, the same as the club sites. We were also given an information folder of the area on arrival. We cannot fault this site and highly recommend it to anyone.

Peaceful, tranquil and in a stunning location

The problem with recommending a good site is that once the word has got out - it’s likely to be full when you next try to book! Nevertheless, Woodville is such a delight it just has to be shared. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, a stunning location and wonderful hosts, this is the site for you. About 10minutes off the A5 south of Shrewsbury and set in a small valley, Woodville is a gently sloping paddock well away from the road, where quiet is assured. There are a number of walks (some quite demanding) in the immediate area and a lovely stream and waterfall nearby which demands to be photographed whenever the sun shines.. The family are very welcoming (don’t forget to ask to see their local information folder) and are happy to update guests on local amenities and events. Access to the site is good but do follow the directions in the book, the lane is immediately past the lay-by (if travelling from the A5) and just before the blue speed warning sign. If it’s a site that’s well placed for scenic drives, site seeing, walking or just relaxing, this site is one to consider. We’ve enjoyed it and I think you will too

Great welcoming helpful family

A lovely site, very pretty surroundings, peaceful and relaxing. Our first visit was the first trip out with our new caravan, the owners were great! Very helpful. As we arrived mid Saturday afternoon they made us very welcome and Mr.Carline helped us to set up. We will definately visit again.
