We have been to this site a few times and always had a good welcome. The site owners take time to explain all the nearby attractions. We have been to Oaklea, previously called Cwm Deri, and Wild Lakes, thoroughly recommended. We booked Woodside because we prefer adult only sites, as we want peace and quiet. The surrounding area is quite beautiful and although it's a couple of miles away we have walked to Lawrenny Quay, well worth the effort. There are recycling bins right by the entrance and all pitches have water and electricity. Hot showers and spotless toilets, wonderful. We too were lucky in that the owner sent over warm Welsh cakes, straight out of the oven, delicious. We will certainly be returning to this site.
