Campervan 2 night stay

A short stay as were visiting Burgh Castle and walking the bay before moving on. Nice and quiet, plenty of space, secure, the gate has a coded padlock. Facilities were OK, as often on a CL a little basic. but as long as they function! There's a lovely private wildlife walk off the site, again nice and secure, coded padlock. Electricity on a pre-loaded meter, we used about £1.50 worth, probably the fridge used most, just take the reading when you arrive and when you leave. And certainly one of the cheapest we've come across. Can't comment on how easy access is into Yarmouth via public transport. Payment by cash into a box on site, so no problems with having to find the owner. Would certainly recommend.

Full marks!

What a wonderful experience. Tim and family are delightful. The campsite was quiet and our spot along the water's edge was made all the better by a full moon and the calls of the birdlife. Close to Roman ruins and scenic waterways, our only regret was not being able to stay longer.

Just what the doctor ordered!

How refreshing to visit a site with owners who are trusting, fair and so welcoming. We had to leave two days early due to my wife being unwell, We had booked for 6 nights in peak season and despite offering to pay for our booked stay our payment was refused for the days not used, we were even offered a refund for unused electricity. Thank you. The site is everything we like about a CL, plenty of space, nice grass which was well cared for and freedom to park as we liked. Dog walk on site and free fishing! what more could you want. I agree with a previous review about the waste disposal point being a bit primitive but not a reason for us not to return or mark it down. We were given a local map on arrival with great information on local shops, pubs and places to see. Again thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Another fantastic few days,

Again had another wonderfull few days at this quiet, unspoilt site, close to many jewels of the Norfolk country side and coast, nothing is to much for the owners, and with metered electric you pay for what you use,

Willoways

This is one of the best if not the best and cheapest CL sites we have ever stayed on very basic but that's the way we like it. Electric hook up 16 amp charged per use, it was cold and wet for 7 of our days here and used the heating every night so we used about £2 per day when there is better weather I would think we would only use a £1 or less a day. The fishing lake is a nice bonus and you can fish it for free. We loved it so much we ended up staying 17 days and will definitely be returning this year and in future years too. The space you get is enough for you caravan, car, awning and a sitting out area.

Most wonderfull site.

We have been using this wonderfull site for many years now, and this evening im sitting in the van looking out over the site, thinking of the privious nights strong winds and heavy rain (7mm) the site is so sheltered by trees that we did not feel or hear the wind, and its so well drained that you would not have known it had rained, yes its basic almost off the grid caravanning, card system electric very fair and cheap, small toilet for those that need one, river side walk and fishing lake and fantastic owners, and as they would say in Great Yarmouth, as cheap as chips, shame i don't know about more of these good value for money sites, but its not everyone cup of tea,

an enjoyable stay

Stayed on this lovely site Easter 2018 just after the snow so ground quite wet still, however we were directed to a well drained patch just inside the gate and all was well. Helpful pleasant owners and we enjoyed our stay. 2 adults, 2 children plus dogs in a caravan. Sadly still too cold for husband to do any fishing but a good base to visit local areas from and pleasant dog walking within the grounds along the river.

Fair Judge

1st difficulty was seeing the entrance before you went past, white paint on the 2 notice stones would really help. 2nd difficulty was although we were given the number for the combination lock it was not mentioned that it had a push button at the bottom (not very noticeable) so had to go and ask at the house whilst blocking the access to site. 3rd problem was the CWD point. It was located in a small field remote from the site. It comprised of a100mm dia. hole in the ground with a lift up lid, no prepared surround for splashes and no local water supply for rinsing. It was 30 meters away. Having stated all the above which could be sorted at low cost, our fortnights stay was generally very enjoyable. The fishing in the little pond was brilliant and the site neat and tidy and even with children present they were really very good and almost unnoticed. Damien and his wife were very pleasant and helpful although they could do with a doorbell on their house to contact them. If the above were sorted we definitely would return. Bob & Trish.

Lovely CL

We've just returned from 5 days at Willoways. The weather could have been less wet for our liking, and for a day there were really strong winds, but the site is shielded by trees, so the awning didn't come in for a pasting. We only met Danielle, who was charming and very helpful. The meter card system worked well and is very fair - Danielle loaded it up and we paid only for what we used. We can only echo the comments of other reviewers here about the site and the area, and would happily recommend this CL.
