Very special CL

Really lovely adult only site. Just what a CL site should be. Good hardstanding ptiches with EHU. Easy access to water and chemical disposal point. One toilet and shower available, which is very clean and just like you are in your own bathroom. There are excellent walks and bike rides from the site. Easy walk into South Cave or North Cave with footpaths in both directions. Regular bus services between Hull and Goole which stops in South Cave. The Bear inn in South Cave is a very friendly local for a drink. We also visited Little Wold Vineyard for a tour and tasting afternoon--would definately recommend this as something to do in the area. All in all a fantastic 4 fours days at this site, undoutably the thing that makes this CL so special are Emma, Darren and family who are very welcoming and work very hard to make this such a special place.

Put this CL on your shortlist.

Willow Pond CL is great at what it does. The owners, Emma and Darren and there team ( And by team i mean a flock of geese that visit every pitch two or three times a day) have not just set aside a spare field to put Caravans in. They have made it feel like you have pitched your caravan in there back garden. The info “Shed” is like you are stood in there kitchen, the Toilet and shower are like your in the house. The pitches are spacious , landscaping is like your in someone’s garden. The toilet emptying area is clean and effective, and you will never look at your wheelie bin in the same way again! A pond in the centre of the site provides a great back drop to every pitch, with seats provided all round its edge. A picnic bench on every pitch too. Close to village life and easy access to all the areas attractions We loved our three days here and will definitely be returning to spending more time here. Thanks, Richard and Carol

Idyllic

Our favourite CL by far. Hard standing & grass pitches are in picturesque settings around the lake with great views of the ducks, geese, horses in adjacent stables & other wildlife. Who needs a TV when you can while the time away watching the antics of the ducks & geese. Well manicured site, with seats & picnic tables dotted around. First class facilities with spacious new shower room. Great attention to detail - no grass cuttings after mowing, pretty flowering planters. Emma, Darren & all the family are very welcoming & go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Some road noise but you soon filter it out to focus on bird song. Great location on edge of South Cave with 2 excellent tea rooms, a garden centre, a well stocked convenience store in walking distance, & good local pubs serving delicious food. A good base for days out. Easy access from main road network.

The best CL in Britain

AT LAST, After 36 years of Caravaning for approximately 16 weeks a year, we have found the best CL in Britain without doubt. I will not duplicate ALL the comments in the previous reviews except to say that the two weeks we spent there recently were exceptionally good, especially the owners Emma and Darren with other family members, dads, uncles and sons who. All had one objective, to ensure the holiday makers enjoyed their holiday. Thank you Emma, Darren & Co, you achieved your objective.

A small piece of heaven

Have just spent the most wonderful week on this beautiful peaceful site. The owners were friendly and helpful and the site was immaculately presented. Our pitch faced the pond and was an excellent size. My husband enjoyed a regular fish and I relaxed sketching the scenery. North and south Cave are both within easy reach, especially like us, if you bring your bikes. We hope to return in the future. A truly great stay.

Well done Emma & family

We stayed for one night and received a warm welcome from Emma on arrival. The site has been very well thought out with spotless toilet, useful information room, seating areas scattered around the site. The pond was lovely for a walk around and it was lovely to see the geese and ducks waddling around. Had we stayed any longer my husband would definitely have done some fishing (free). We were a little apprehensive as a review had said there was a lot of road noise, and although you could hear some it was not intrusive and certainly didn't deter from our enjoyment. We have already booked for a second weekend and are really looking forward to it. Well done to Emma, Darren and Emma's dad for creating such a beautiful site, one of which you should be proud.

Fabulous New CL

Our stay was for two nights at the beginning of June 2021. Emma and Darren gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival and were very helpful and supportive. The site has been cleverly thought out, carefully designed and absolutely beautifully maintained. The hard standing areas are a good size and the facilities are sensibly located. All these factors contribute to making Willow Pond an exceptional and first class CL. North Cave Wetlands is nearby and a must for nature lovers. Plenty of cycling and walking close at hand including the Wolds Way. We strongly recommend this CL and hope to return in the not too distant future! Emma and Darren thank you very much for a fabulous stay!
