Just what we needed
Just arrived home after staying at this CL for the first time. A long journey for us (8 hrs to get home) but the wife has relatives in the area and I know that we will be staying here again, as the welcome from Jackie and John was great.
The weather ( February! ) was a real bonus, but the site was everything I could have asked for. There were sheep in fields on two sides of us, chickens in a run ahead of us and an open field on the other side of us. Bliss.
The eggs that were on sale were gorgeous and we've brought some sausage's home to try as well. There's a fair distance to travel from the site to reach the main towns etc, but that's the nature of the landscape and those " big open skies" are spectacular.
I would recommend a stay here to anyone, so long as you don't expect bright lights ( except for the stars and sunsets ) and are able to cope without a wc/shower.
