SIMPLY STUNNING

If you want a CL that has just about everything then this is the site for you. Fully serviced pitches, showers and toilets. Good phone reception as well as satellite & digital TV reception. On top of this no matter what pitch your on you can be sure of a stunning view. This is a site that you can stay a week with ease. Nick the owner very friendly and knowledgeable, don't forget to take your BBC and try his farm assured beef from his on-site shop. Some of the pitches however have quite a slope so don't for get your chocks and rock pegs. Give it a try you'll not be disappointed, this is a site that you must follow the Site Directory Handbook directions. Remember to book as the pitches didn't stay vacant for long. We hope to return soon.

Should be on everyone's wish list

We have just returned from a few days at this amazing site and we're incredibly impressed. From the ease of booking, communication once booked and the welcome we received, all were outstanding. The site itself is in open countryside with wonderful views of the Peak District one way, and the impressive Lovell telescope at Jodrell the other. Not to mention a few cows. The pitches are hardstanding with electricity, water and drainage on each one. We use our own shower so this has become vital. There is also a dog shower and walk. There are lots of things to do in the area. We went to the Anderton Boat lift, Lion Salt works and Jodrell Bank. The Red Lion (walkable) and the Swettenham Arms are both worth a visit. The site is very quiet and peaceful, more so since its adults only. Not that we dislike children but ours are grown up now so we find adults only sites more relaxing. The site also sell meat and eggs, there is an Aldi not far away in Holmes Chapel. The site hasn't been open long so I suspect it's a bit of a well kept secret at the moment. We will certainly go back and if the visitors book is any guide so will most other people. We had no problems with water pressure so maybe the experience of an earlier reviewer was a one off.

Ssshhhhh, too nice to broadcast about!!

A great CL with very easy access, lovely panoramic views from all pitches, well maintained spacious serviced pitches and ample dogs walks. Our only little grumble which really did not spoil our time was the lack of water pressure. Non existent if in use elsewhere on site which is a little frustrating but not by any means a deal breaker. Added bonus is a dog wash, great idea which more sites should offer especially those in the countryside and if I was to suggest maybe a secure 'off lead' area for dogs, then that would just top this site off nicely. Nick was on hand if needed and came to introduce himself on the 1st evening, his mobile number is noted around the site in the info room and on his welcoming blackboard so if needed is contactable but it was nice to be left to it. We will visit again as it's now in our top 3 list of CL'S.

Cheshire treasure

This is so special I am loathed to praise it as I will have difficulty booking. Owner Nick totally understands what caravaner's need. Each pitchhas room for Van and Awning and with space for the car, elec hook up, water and drainage on all pitches. You will not get a better view of Cheshire from a site , Bosley Cloud, Mop cop , and the Cat & fiddle plus Joderell bank can all be seen form the caravan window. I think its adults only which is a shame for families ( not sure about that so please check ) but as a working farm that would make sense. Loads to see in the area and walks locally or the pennies are only 30 minutes away.

Jewel

Fantastic site and a credit to the hard work and attention to detail that Nick as shown. For us, there is everything we could need at this site. Plus many things to do locally and in the surrounding area. We have just spent a couple of weeks there in late January early February. This is the third visit we have made and it just seems to be getting better. Its hard to pick another site now, as once you have all these facilities, every other site seems to be a slight compromise. This last visit was really good, as we moved out of our house, while the builders renovated the bathroom / toilet. My wife was booked to have a cataract operation and I didn't want her to be in a dusty environment straight after the op. It was a great stay at this site. Almost like being at home. If you are thinking of a trip to Cheshire. Stay here! Probably wish that I hadn't said that, as we may find its even more popular now ;>( But you have to give credit where credit is due and Nick deserves the rewards of his efforts. Thanks Nick Phil and June (Manchester).

Fantastic find

Booked this site as a last minute booking. Soooo glad we did, excellent pitches. Toilet and shower facilities. Nick was a fantastic guy, while packing away he told us not to rush off, can only imagine how great this site will be in the summer, since returning we have told selected friends about here as we don't want it over booking because we will definitely be back. Amazing views, walking and cycling from here too. David & Lynne (Cheshire).

A CL at its best

We stayed here for a single night when visiting the local motor-home dealer just 5 miles away. Its a relatively new site only opening earlier this year. Access is along a concrete farm roadway, through a farm and a short section of track to a lovely position on a small hill above the farm. The 5 Caravan Club (CC) pitches are all hard standing with individual taps and waste water facilities. Other no CC pitches are available nearby. We stayed during the late autumn and the views across the surrounding countryside were lovely. The owner/farmer Nick is a friendly and chatty guy who has gone out of his way to make the site all the things he would have wanted had he been a visitor. There is a farm walk, wifi, showers, toilet and a dog shower. We’d certainly return here again when taking our camper van in for its annual service.
