Beautiful site

Came here on the 27th December. After a long hold up on the M25 and the A12 got here as its getting dark. We followed the very accurate directions on site and parked up on a good level immaculate quite new site. Whilst setting up Sarah(the site owner) came out said hello and made sure we were familiar with the sites facilities. The owners are amazing and very friendly the site is awesome. Writing this Whilst still here as we're thinking of extending our stay as its so nice here. The surrounding villages and places to visit are great and if like us are dog owners lots of walks from the site. They have walks and other information in the information tray by gate and free WiFi which is a bonus. Its a fantastic place come find out for yourself you won't be disappointed

If you love peace and quiet - this CL is perfect

The Waterpump CL is among the nicest CL’s we have stayed at, and we have done a few! We spent two weeks at the site in this tranquil and scenic part of Suffolk. It’s thoughtfully designed, with hard standings and grass, water close to each pitch, recycling baskets and brilliant free wi-fi. Great views in the daytime and at night the skies are pitch dark, ideal for watching satellites, the international space station or just star gazing. We loved the walks and cycle rides on quiet lanes from the site and also travelled further afield to the coast. Sarah and Dave are the perfect hosts and made us feel most welcome, as did Sarah’s parents. On our last night we wandered back from the pub, listening to owls, a bellowing stag, Does calling their fawns and a vixen in the distance. For us it doesn’t get any better but be aware, there are no buses or taxis and shops are a drive away. Framlingham is not too far, certainly cyclable and has a lot to offer. We will certainly be back!

One to visit, don't miss out!!

Visited two weeks ago ,what a superb site set in the heart of Suffolk with beautiful country walks on your door step. If you want peace and tranquility then this is for you, at the end of the day a short four minute walk to the local pub is an absolute must serving great food and real ales. A nice touch on arrival was a welcoming slate on your pitch with your name on. Sarah and David were the perfect hosts very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area . Will definitely visit again when we are next in this area. 😊👍

Waterpump

A quality new site with 2 grass pitches for summer use and 3 hardstanding pitches (5 for the winter). Access from the main road is on a blind bend and therefore should always be from the East. If approaching from the West take a short detour by turning left into Badingham village by the pub and taking the next 2 turns to the right to bring you back onto the main road to the East of the entrance. The site is very quiet and well away from the road with a nice view of the countryside. Walking and cycling from the site is very good. There is no shop in Badingham but there are in other villages which can be reached by bike. Useful information on routes and places to go and eat are provided on the site.

Amazing CL

We've just spent 9 nights on this wonderful, tucked away motorhome CL. The owners are very friendly and helpful and Sarah has produced a selection of local walk leaflets which take you across fields and quiet lanes. We have walked miles to lovely nearby villages, the highlights for us being Framlingham and its impressive castle (Ed Sheeran's 'Castle on the hill'), Dennington with its amazing restaurant, and Sweffling with its quirky pub without a bar. Sadly the pub 5 minutes walk away was closed during the duration of our stay due to Covid causing staffing issues. We tow a car so also visited the coast. If you enjoy walking or are happy to drive out for days this CL is perfectly situated. Highly recommend!

Adventures of Bilbo and his mum

What a fabulous CL! Bilbo the springer and I thoroughly rate this place. So much care and consideration has gone into this new CL; the provision of walks and maps, local history and information, to the lawn mown strip from the site to the pub. All this plus WiFi. The pitches are spacious, level and overlook fields and woods abounding with wildlife. Bilbo could bounce and spring to his hearts content off lead through the meadow and fields The site has a narrow entrance but rapidly this turns into a very easy and navigable track down to the CL. I took the motorhome, all 7.5m of it out nearly everyday and the lanes, although narrow in some places are quiet, with plenty of pull - ins. However, there is no need to go anywhere in the van if you don't fancy. There is enough to see and do on foot and nearly all the vilages nearby have pubs with many havinng local and independent shops of interest. Sarah and Dave are super people and I suspect this CL is going to be really popular! Sad to go. Happy to return! Jo and Bilbo

The perfect Cl

We have recently stayed at Sarah's Waterpump CL. We are a couple seeking peace & quiet, small & cosy site, nice local walks and to be made welcome by the owners. This site exceeded all of our needs. It is the best site we have ever stayed at. If you have dogs it will be especially suitable as it has a huge meadow at the front where the dogs will be far away enough from the motorhomes not to annoy anyone. The owners are also motohome owners so they know what this community needs. We would not hesitate to book again or recommend this site. Thank you so much for a relaxing break, we will be back!

We’ll be back!

We planned a one night stay and stayed for three. Very welcoming and helpful hosts who themselves are regular motorhomers so they understand what we need. EHU and water at your pitch, nice and level hardstanding with good drainage. Lovely walk from site across the fields to Framlingham and a very short footpath to the local pub which serves good food and is very popular so may need to book days ahead. Thanks again!

Immaculate, peaceful and ideal for walkers and cyclists

Just about to enjoy our last evening here (5 nights stay) with a few local cyders, steak and sausages. We have cycled and walked over 150km along quiet country lanes to the pretty villages and towns...Framlingham, Peasenhall, Saxmundham and almost to Dunwich where we turned back in a heavy shower. Didn’t try the pub as we were too tired most evenings but it did look lovely and is a very pleasant 5 mins walk away along a grassy path. We did not see it as a downside BUT to buy an improptu pint of milk or a loaf DOES mean a trip into Framlingham (an hour plus good walk away, or 40 mins cycle ride) so if, like us, you like to pitch up for the duration, stock up en route or purchase on your days walking/cycling. As I say, wasn’t an issue with us. Co Op in Framlingham has great selection of groceries, local meats and cyders. Stunning, spacious site...plenty of birdsong, deer and an angry Little Owl who took umbrage with our mohome one night and swore at us from the gatepost! Lots of useful infosheets for walking etc, and Sarah is an excellent host!

Lovely friendly CL

We arrived at this CL on the Wednesday evening and was met at the gate by Sarah who showed us where we were to be pitched - fortunately we were on the grass so we were able to put up the awning - but there would have been plenty room on the generous hardstandings to do this too. The CL is motorhome only at the moment (not the owner's decision - all down to access into the site which the CAMC deem unsuitable for caravans), and so if you do not want to take your motorhome out or use the bus, exploring the local area could be slightly problematic if you have no other means of transport (hence the 4 stars) - however - we managed to get out on our e-bikes on the three full days we were there - and managed to see a lot of the local area including Framlingham, Woodbridge, Debenham, Eye, Bungay and lots of very pretty little villages in between. Sarah very kindly gave us the loan of a Suffolk Cycling Map on our second ride out, so that was very much used. Over the 3 days we clocked up just over 150 miles! The local pub was lovely and full of character. We had a meal in there on the Friday night - not intentional - we were just stopping for a drink after our 50 mile cycle ride - but ended up succumbing to the huge platefuls of fish and chips - which had us beat in the end. The site is very peaceful with lovely views over the wheat fields (through which there is also a public footpath). Sarah and her husband made us feel very welcome and we will definitely visit again as there are still lots of little villages in the area to be explored. Maps of local walks were made available for visitors too. The welcoming notes on the little blackboards at each pitch were also a nice touch! We highly recommend this site.
