Beautiful site

A warm welcome on arrival at this lovely CL. The site is pristine and the owners have given so much thought to the comfort of their visitors. The chemical waste and refuse area is spotless. The owners really have thought of everything, even providing spare levelling ramps for those who forget them!! We really enjoyed our 3 night visit and will definitely visit again soon. Thank you so much Phillip

a site with a wow factor

What a lovely place, all the best bits from all the sites we have stayed at and put them together with no bad bits. The owner Phil could not be more helpful and the free range hens eggs were really nice. will will definitely be going back Steve Bee and Lucy

Stunning CL

We stayed here for the first time in July for 4 nights. A perfect location to visit Barnard Castle and the surrounding areas as well as having the charm of being a place where you can relax and enjoy the views and wildlife. The owners, Philip and Clare, are very friendly and welcoming and are always on hand to help or advise on local attractions, eateries and more. It's plain to see they've done their research and in paying attention to the details have presented a fantastic site that's got all the nice touches. This is a very well maintained site with spacious bays for each caravan/campervan defined with a clever use of trees and shrubs. There is an immaculate service area, masses of wild flowers, and even sweet peas for you to help yourself to which was a lovely thought and helped to brighten up our awning. Must also mention the Free Range Eggs which were delicious. We’ve booked again this year and intend to be regular visitors, this could easily have become our favourite site based on our experience so far.

Superb

Stayed 5 nights in this first class site, well laid out with separate tree lined bays, an abundance of recently planted trees with pathways mown through the wild flower meadow, fresh eggs available from Philip the owner who gave us a warm welcome and lots of local knowledge, the service area is spotless, one of the best we have visited

A beautiful site

We had 3 nights at Viewforth Meadow and absolutely loved it! Philip and Clare are very friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. The site is gorgeous - dozens of newly planted trees and lots of wild flowers. The service area is absolutely pristine, and the flower planters make it very attractive. We walked into Barnard Castle along country lanes and on footpaths past the golf course and through woods - passing under a spectacular viaduct at one point. Would thoroughly recommend!!

Gem of a site

Just had a 2 week stay here & can say this site is a credit to the owners Phil & Clare. From booking to arrival there were clear communication which made our arrival all the more easy. The site has a B road to one side & country road on the other. Traffic noise is not a problem as the roads are quiet with evenings & nights very very quiet. Phil is full of information about the local area, we were never short of places to visit. Facilities on site are second to none, all well thought out & convenient to use. The gardens have been thoughtfully laid out with seating area's to relax. This is a new site, we wish Phil & Clare future success as it is thoroughly deserved. We will be back.

A little gem!

Just returned from a weekend stay at this CL, and I have to say it's a gem of a find. Brand new for this year, the owner Philip has clearly spent loads of time on creating this site, with well thought out facilities area and beautifully planted gardens. Well worth a visit this one, we placed another booking straight away and are looking very much forward to it. In easy reach of Barnard Castle, and it's on the gateway to all that Teesdale has to offer.
