We stayed for a week during June just as the hot weather was starting, what a wonderful welcome from Clare & Colin a hot cup of tea and choc biscuits. The site was very clean with the grass cut regularly with a "wiggly walk in a meadow, as the site is on a hill you get marvellous views across the valley. The shower and toilet was the best I've seen and very clean. Each pitch has EHU and fresh water tap with recycling bins emptied every evening. We will definitely return.
Peaceful rural site, good facilities, very helpful and welcoming owners
Booked this site for 2 nights - easy to find/access, quiet rural location with views over lovely surrounding countryside. Pitches of good size with grass areas and the site has a lovely wildlife meadow part with pathways through it - all you hear is bird song and the occasional tractor - blissful ! Easy access to public footpaths from the site which take you over fields and woodland - ideal for walking and countryside views. Onsite shower/washroom facilities - immaculately clean and tidy. The owners of this site provided a first class friendly, helpful welcome - were available if you needed any help and were lovely to talk to - a very big thank you :) We took 4 large dogs with us and this site is excellent for both people and dogs ! Would definitely highly recommend and stay again.

Fabulous site.
Fabulous site. Peaceful, amazing views, great walks with nearby community shop and pub. Can't think of any negatives about this site. My favourite CL to date.
A Quiet, Beautiful Retreat.
My wife and I stayed at Uplands in May. The Owners, Colin & Clare are lovely and gave us a warm welcome ( with a cup of tea and biscuits). The site has a beautiful view out towards Exmoor across the Mole valley. This is a very picturesque part of Devon and remains relatively unspoilt. The village pub is just a very short walk away, and they have a good menu with real ale. Highbullen Golf and Country club is within a mile, and they offer golf, gym facilities together with an indoor heated swimming pool, all at sensible prices. This is a gem of a site that should not be missed.
Its all been said..
Stayed here recently. Quite isolated - good! Has everything we need on a CL. Made most welcome.
Very well kept site.
Excellent local Community Shop.
We will return...
Superb!
We stayed here from the 2nd July for a week. The owners are lovely and go the extra mile to make sure you feel welcome. They're approachable, available for advice but allow you privacy and peace as well.
The site is tranquil with stunning views over the countryside.
The site is well managed with lovely grass or hardstanding.
Our dogs and parrot were made welcome with the dogs enjoying the wiggley walk available on site.
The village is small, friendly with a well stocked community shop and good village pub with generous meals.
Lovely days out nearby including a dog walking beach.
We will return to stay again.

One of the best
We visited this site at the end of April for 6 nights and received a very warm and personal welcome. At first we thought the recycling boxes were small, but Clare emptied them everyday. The views are beautiful, plenty of walks available and easily accessible to visit places in all directions - try using the country lanes, you see lovely villages/hamlets that you miss on the main roads; we even had a small deer walking up the road towards us. The local pub is very good and worth a visit or two.

A warm welcome, with a smile and an offer of tea! A beautiful and well maintained site, with friendly, helpful owners. Exactly what a CL should be! Thank you Colin and Clare x

Far from the madding crowd!
If you want peace and quiet then this is the site for you! Clare and Colin were friendly and welcoming, including tea and biccys on arrival! The new hard standings are good and their plans for the future are excellent. We recommend this CL. Make sure you follow Colin's directions to the site, Devons lanes can be narrow!
Heaven in Devon
Having used the site 3 times under the previous owners and being more than satisfied we were pleasantly surprised to find the site being improved by new owners Claire and Colin. They have put in hard standings already and will eventually add fresh water to each pitch. I think there are also plans to add a toilet and shower which would be wonderful. This is a beautiful tranquil adult only site from which to enjoy Devon, the local pub serves fine food and excellent beer. Would highly recommend this CL.
