Best site we have been to.

Fantastic CL site, immaculately kept with water & electric on each pitch. Grey & Chemical waste disposal & recycling bins in a clean, well kept sheltered area. Beautiful views across the fields from pitches and lovely walks along the Forth & Clyde canal. A vey peaceful site with the most welcoming hosts Helen and Sandy who make you feel like old friends you have known for years. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay without being intrusive. We will be back, highly recommend visiting this gem of a CL.

One of the best

This was our 25th CL pitch this year and so far the best overall. For location it would be hard to beat, with lovely cycle/walk, fishing, paddle board along the canal on your doorstep and cycle/walk to the kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. Bus stop 10 min walk away. Felt more relaxed here than most, with a warm welcome from Helen & Sandy handing out a useful information sheet on arrival and we also liked the security of a gated entrance. Have to recommend the Chinese restaurant (Cotton house) at the end of the lane which was superb. Highly recommended July 2021

Last Minute Find

Just left a great last minute find: Underwood Caravan Park, Bonnybridge. It's only just opened (April 2021), and is right next to the Forth and Clyde Canal. Close to the motorway, an ideal stopover or perfect to visit the Falkirk Wheel and/or the Kelpies, the towpath will take you right there, if you cycle (or walk)! We booked and paid online, it was so easy. Sandy and Helen were great hosts (and in their absence, their son was there to greet us). We will definitely be back. www.threegotravelling.com

Canal side campsite.

We stayed 4 nights as this wonderful, quiet campsite. We will be back in the future. All flat, hard standing pitches with good space round them. Quiet, peaceful site. Each pitch has it's own tap and electric point. Helen very welcoming and friendly. Able to provide us with all the local information we needed for our stay. Fabulous canal side site. The path on the canal wide and smooth, perfect for walking or cycling. 3.2 miles to Falkirk wheel and 7.3 miles to the Kelpies. Both well worth visiting. Also a wonderful Thai restaurant at the end of the sites access road. It is popular with the locals so I suggest you book if you are planning a visit, especially at the weekend (but it also does do take out)

Fantastic Site

What a great CL with great hosts. Had a 2 night stopover 9/10 July and a 2 night stopover 29/30July, not enough time but will be back for a longer stay. Ideal pitches which you are allocated before your arrival and once you have been makes it so much easier for next time.

Thank you

Had a fantastic weekend and many thanks to Sandy and Helen for being so accommodating when we had a issue with our motorhome. A really warm welcome and immaculate site, peaceful with canal directly behind the site with easy access to the tow path with lovely walks/cycle either way. Only 40 mins from home and really looking forward to returning soon. So easy to book online, which makes all the difference rather than having to phone round when looking for a pitch. Thank you again.

A great CL with a warm welcome.

Stayed 4 nights at the end of June. Great location to access the canal for our cycling trip. Traffic free cycling to Clydebank or Edinburgh. Easy access to Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies all via traffic free canal tow paths. CL is immaculate with great facilities. Warm welcome from the site owners. We will return soon.

A lovely peaceful site perfectly located for canal walks.

The site itself is lovely and peaceful and a great location for Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond as well as a walking distance for the Falkirk Wheel. The site is well laid out, clean and well managed by the extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful owners. It's also a great stop off for exploring the Highlands of Scotland. The only important thing to note is that for long and/ or 8ft wide caravans the access is extremely difficult. Not only do you have to navigate an extremely tight s bend over a bridge, but the access into the site is extremely tight and at an angle for longer caravans with an overhang like ours. On the way out we used the motormover and it was still very tight. As a result, I think it's a great site for motorhomers, camper vans and small to mid size caravans but not 8 footers or long caravans, which is a shame for us because it's a really fantastic site with truly lovely owners.

Fantastic site

What a charming site. Level pitches with EHU and water on each pitch. Great walks along the canal. Grey and Black water waste disposal points (even for drive over). Turn off main road and drive to the end of the lane, trust me it’s there. This is the perfect little, quite, site. We will be back.

First Class CL

The owners, Sandy and Helen, made us very welcome. We had spoken prior to visiting and they had warned us about the bridge on the farm road to the site that we successfully crossed with care. We spent 6 nights at the site and really enjoyed every minute. The site is well laid out and has a drinking water tap to every pitch. It is a clean, tidy site with easy to use facilities and there is an information shed which provided us with lots of tips for the area. The surroundings are peaceful farmland with the canal bordering the south of the site and views to the distant mountains north. The area has very much more to offer than a one night stop over on route north or south.
