We spent 3 nights at this very peaceful cl in June in our motorhome. As mentioned in other reviews, the lane approaching is a little tight but not a real problem. We took advantage of the lovely weather (sunny and hot) and cycled along the towpath to the Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies - both well worth a visit. Glasgow is very doable by bus (stop at the end of the lane on the main road). The chinese restaurant is a walkable distance and is excellent value for money. Helen is a very welcoming host and the site is well looked after. The location is ideal for both exploring the area and as a stop off if travelling further north into Scotland.
A lovely CL with easy canal access
Access - Following the instructions in the handbook, the site is easy enough to find, but the turning would otherwise be easy to miss, look out for the caravan 'signpost' (not a CAMC logo one). The track leading to the site is a bit rough and narrow, with an awkward bridge half way along, which with a long outfit needs to be taken carefully and exited wide. The owner kindly popped out and opened the metal gates into the CL for us as we arrived and gave us a nice welcome.
Site - The pitches are all hard standing, and well spaced, with plenty of room to reverse onto the pitches.
Facilities - water at each pitch and easy to reach EHU. Grey waste, bins and discreet and under cover CDP in a neat area at the far end of the site.
Area - lots to do here, we only had 2 days, but walked from the site to the nearby Seabegs Woods, where the Antonine wall and Roman road are very obvious [HINT walk from the site, turn left along tthe towpath for 1km (looking right across the canal and road, you will see the entrance to the woods) drop left off the towpath down a little track that doubles back and there is an underpass that goes under the road and canal to bring you out in the woods. It also carries a stream, so good footwear is advised, although there is a raised central walkway, so it's not a paddle!] The Kelpies are well worth a visit, especially at night, parking is free after 5pm, but you need to park in the overnight area, as the gates to the main car park shut at 8pm. we kayaked from the site the 4 mniles up to the Falkirk Wheel, which is worth a visit and has family activities on site as well. The canal towpath is metres from the site gates and there's a pontoon a few metres up towards the lock, making it ideal to launch kayaks/paddleboards.
A really nice, well looked after site, with lots to do in the area, definitley recommended.
.
A gem!
Lots of work done here, well thought out. Properly serviced pitches. Lovely welcome from owners. Excellent stop after visiting The Falkirk Wheel. Great walks along towpath adjacent to site. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect stopover for us - there and back
We had the pleasure of visiting the site on our way from Yorkshire to the Outer Hebrides - it proved the perfect point for us to stop on the way up and on the way back down. Super secure site with all you need, great for exercising our dogs (or yourselves!) along the towpath. Easy access to the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies and as mentioned a great restaurant/takeaway at the end of the lane. Very hospitable hosts too. Thank you and am sure we'll be back again.

Another great stay
Another great stay at one of favourite local sites that’s only 25 miles from our door and enjoy spending a weekend here. Really well kept site and feel secure behind the beautiful made gates. Canal right behind site and lovely walks along the canal tow path.
Good local pubs in village and always made to feel very welcome. Chinese restaurants/take away is very good.
Great hosts who always make sure everything is ok,
Lovely quiet site and will return again soon

Two Night Stopover
Just a short two night stay to break our long journey up to The Highlands. Very nice site , handy as just off motorway, but surprisingly peaceful. Canal backs onto site so great for walking cycling. Good for dogs. Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel just a short drive away.. or you could probably cycle there if up to it! Friendly welcoming owner . No TV reception for us, but no problem. Entrance is a little tight but on saying that there were two twin axels on site that managed ok. Underwood CL Bonnybridge.

Highly Recommended CL
What an excellent site. We were so lucky to find this hidden gem, and couldn't have wished for a better CL site to be on. A warm welcome from the owner Helen, who was very informative about the local area. A spotlessly clean site, and very well thought out, with water and EHU on each pitch, and a separate under cover area for all your waste and recycling. If you want to visit the Falkirk Wheel and/or the Kelpies, then this site is for you. The site also sits next to the Forth and Clyde Canal, with an excellent tarmac towpath if you want to walk or cycle to the Falkirk Wheel (3.5 miles) and an extra (4 miles) to the Kelpies. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again when we are back in this part of Scotland. Thank you Helen and Sandy.
Superb Site
As others have said an excellent site immaculately kept with lovely views over open countryside. The welcome from Helen is second to non and nothing is too much trouble. There are good walks along the path alongside the canal which runs just behind the site.
Pitch 3 has a huge grass area ajoining it ideal for children or dogs.
Our caravan is 7.5 metres and it was tight getting over the bridge on the lane leading down to the Cl and the access through the gates is another tight turn. Certainly not a site for anything bigger than us.
That said we have had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it.
Perfect stopover
A lovely new CL with first class facilities, water and electric at each pitch. Booking is very easy done online, on arrival a warm welcome from Helen. Information for the surrounding areas can be found in the information shed and recommendations from Helen. Location was ideal for cycling along the canal towpath, with access from just behind the site. We went to the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies (14 mile round trip), well worth it! The Cotton House Thai is a must, they will deliver to the site. Access would be tight for larger outfits, no problem for our 6.6m motorhome. We would definitely use this site again, visited October 2021
