Lovely site.

Really lovely spot. Mick was very helpful and welcoming. The toilet and washbasin are easily accessed and the shower is good. The site and facilities are all clean and tidy. The shower and electric hook up are all included, so no extras to pay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful peace and quiet

A shout out to Mick who, in spite of being seriously unwell, wanted to make sure that we had settled in and found all of the great facilities. Thank you Mick. This is a little gem of a place surrounded by the most wonderful views. We were grateful for the exceptionally clean facilities and the warm welcome. There is no TV reception or Internet signal so remember to bring your own. A great site.

Beautiful Site

We stayed at Tynewydd Farm for 5 nights in May 2023. It is a beautiful and tranquil location. Mick is a friendly and helpful host, there is plenty of wildlife to see, lovely walks form the site and in the areas around it. The facilities were excellent and the local pub accommodating. We would definitely recommend this site for smaller caravans and campervans.

One of a kind

Well, that reference applies both to the site and the owner Mick. After a few texts with Mick, we agreed that it would be okay to visit with our caravan, however in our case an Eriba. Word of warning however, the lane to the site is steep and narrow and as Mick states clearly, not for larger vehicles. Once there though you have stunning views and walks on an extremely quiet lane and you are just surrounded by breathtaking scenery and nature as others have said. Facilities simple but immaculate and in fact all you really need. We were blessed with fabulous weather in mid August 22 and we were able to watch the full moon rise over the valley in front of us which was frankly breathtaking as everything was so clear. We were compelled to get up at 3.30am after the moon had set to see the stars so clearly. I regret not rushing out to buy a telescope! Fabulous friendly host beyond what might be expected and will most definitely return.

Secluded heaven

We only stayed one night here and had to head off earlier than we wanted due to sickness but this site is a hidden gem. Mick couldn’t have been friendlier or more relaxed. There was only ourselves and some campers on site so we were able to park how we liked to give us the best view of the beautiful valley. Mick came over and gave me a guided tour of the fabulous facilities and told us the best places to walk the dog. We had no phone signal at all which for us is the best. There is wi-fi available but we steered clear of that. If you want a site that is secluded, away from phones and all that goes with them and is wonderfully relaxed, this is the place to go. We will be back to this one

The perfect peaceful place to stay

Tynewydd Farm is a beautiful, peaceful, very natural place to stay. Mick is very helpful and friendly and you feel very relaxed as soon as you arrive. I can’t praise this site enough. Red Kites fly over the valley, house martins and swallows give flying displays all day. So much wildlife, walking and stunning scenery. All the facilities you need for a peaceful holiday and all kept to a very high standard. The views are amazing too.

so peaceful.

A beautiful rural site. The only sounds were cows mooing, sheep baaing and birds singing. We enjoyed a perfect June stay and loved watching swallows and house martins feeding and sparrowhawks soaring on thermals. Mike was an attentive host and even offered to bring provisions for us and to drive us into Brecon.

A Perfect Retreat

I stayed on this site for four nights at the beginning of October 2021. I was looking for a peaceful and tranquil site and Ty Newydd delivered 100%. The site is situated at the top of a narrow lane (very steep in places!) deep in the hills above Lower Chapel. I was fortunate to be the only person on site during my stay and was able to take full advantage of the amazing scenery - rolling hills and woods (and hundreds of sheep!). You really feel that you have withdrawn from the world. There is a cracking walk just above the site which leads out into the hills and provides wonderful views over the Black Mountains. Mick, the owner, was very helpful and was on hand for assistance when required. Ty Newydd is the perfect place to switch off, chill out and recharge the batteries.

Great site

A beautiful spot. Access was easy with our autosleeper. Mick was really welcoming, and fitted us in at the last minute for which we were really grateful. All amenities as publicised, with great little toilet which was handy. Great walks from the site, with fantastic views of the area including pen y fan.
