5 Night Stay 11 till 16 May 2023

Apologies for the late review Mark, but cannot praise Mark the owner or his site enough. The setting of all pitches is breathtaking, the easy access just a short 5 minute walk to the main road where buses go every half hour, to the left Llandudno and the right Conwy, so no need for your car, ideal for all you motorhomes, we have a tourer, so nice to give you and your car a rest and sample some nice Welsh beers. Well done Mark, thank you for making us so welcome, would definitely visit again and strongly recommend.

Fantastic Site

Great site, with easy access to Llandudno, Conwy and the surrounding area. Spent 3 nights here over the May Bank Holiday. Recommend the RSBP reserve at Conwy

First class. As it should be!

What three words to entrance ///path.supporter.lamppost First time at the CL. Three night stay over Easter 23. Blessed with fantastic weather which was the icing in the cake. An excellent well presented site in a fantastic location. Easy walk into Llandudno as well as bus route on the doorstep. Good 30 minute short walk to the nearby obelisk which was good for dogs with fantastic views. The nearby Great Orme country park is a good visit. Owners are really nice, friendly and welcoming couple. In the three nights we never exceeded the 10 amp per day included in the site fees. Happy to recommend this CL and look forward to returning.

Rural beauty but close to everywhere on the peninsular

Spent 3 nights here and could have done with another 2 to enable us to see everything in the local surrounding area. On arrival Mark showed us to the hard standing area not usually used as the field was still a little soft. We were able to use the field ehu with ease and the elsan point and drains were very close. Mark was very welcoming and told us to keep an eye on the sheep in the next field as they were expected to lamb during our visit, 3 were spotted on out last day. Electric is included upto 10 kwh per day and then charged per kw above that. We went slightly above the allowance as we used the electric heater a fair bit ( my wife is a cold person) This is a proper country cl although there a commercial building close by, no noise at all was heard from it. Llandudno just 4mins away by car is an old Victorian hangout with some interesting architecture, many big name shops as well as a lot of independents. Typical of this type of seaside town with a large beach, mostly pebble, a pier which is free to walk along but you have to run the gauntlet of touristy shops, ice cream, doughnuts and other things to interest there are a couple of gems. One must do is the road around the peninsular, it is a toll road (£3.90) Marine Drive which starts just behind the pier, it is one way so dont start at the other end (my wife bent my ear) . We stopped a few times and caught sight of maybe 30 seals basking or swimming by the shore. anyway the caravan site is beautifully kept and has changed slightly since the photos, all the pitches are now unobtrusively divided with a one bar wooden fence to ensure everyone gets there allotted space. The field looks level and the grass short and green. Highly recommended for a base for the area.

Overnight Stop

Arrived late afternoon, one pitch left but plenty of space between it and neighbouring Motorhome and the elsan and recycling point on the other side - no encroachment or nasty smells! Very quiet and picturesque site with very friendly visits from a hen and dog. Looks like there is space for a full on site and maybe that is the plan for the future. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

Just returned from this new CL. Great base to explore the area. Takes about 35 mins to walk to Llandudno Junction station and about 50 mins to Conwy. Suggest turn left by the new estate (Marl Lane) and go down Albert Drive to Lidl or the junction as not quite as steep as the B5115, also a bit better for cyclists. If wanting the coastal cycle route need to join at LL Junc or Deganwy Station. Site has an avenue of trees on the approach and is all grass. Some pitches are under the conker trees so beware in Autumn! Facilities are new and very good. As the pop up site had gone some water connections still on the fence saving us moving our MH. Dog owners keep the dog under control as sheep, chickens and squirrels are loose! Buses are handy outside the gate. Some light road noise but great views and country feel despite being so close to the main towns. Despite rain grass was driveable over as hard as concrete but that may change. Plenty of walking and blackberry picking from the site!

What a fantastic site!

First time using a CL site and so glad we chose here. It's immaculate, beautiful rural views, vans spaced miles apart so not worrying about disturbing neighbours with our yappy little fluffy rat/dog. Bus stop into Llandudno is a 100 metre walk at the end of the lane. Bus comes every 30 mins or so and takes you near the prom for £2.30. It's only £7 back from town in a taxi to the site. If you're using bikes and getting on a bit like us they're not really practical with the hills there tbh. (The buses were a lifesaver). I know it's human nature to offer up recommendations for improvement but I really can't think of any. The only sounds you'll get are the sheep in the next field in the morning and even that was nice! We will 100% be returning as it ticks nearly every one of our boxes. If it had a beach a short flat stroll away I'd book up a month there I think. Well done to Mark who owns and runs it. Job well done mate! If he converted half of the flat field next door to a commercial touring site with showers, toilets and a few hard standings for thirty units and charged a reasonable price he'd be rammed full most of the season.

Wonderful CL with fantastic dog walks nearby.

I stayed at this CL 23-25 August. Very easy to find. Large open space with lots of room between the pitches. Everything has been carefully thought out. Mark was on hand to welcome me to the site and give really great tips on fantastic dog walks from the site. Really peaceful nights even though there were a large pop-up campsite around us. Everyone was relaxed and it made for a lovely atmosphere particularly using the pop up oven baked pizza and bar. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the driveway that will whisk you into either Llandudno or Conway. Mark was always about and a pleasure to chat to. Definitely will return.

Blissfully quiet

We spent ten blissfully quiet nights here during the second heatwave of 2022. Ideally placed approximately 600 yards off the main Llandudno road, the site has excellent access for any size caravan or motorhome. The owners have put a great deal of thought into the facilities available, ad they are very helpful and approachable. During our stay there was a ‘pop-up’ site in the next field (August only), but this was not at all intrusive, being under the same management as the CL. We will definitely be back if Mark and family will have us! 👍

A perfect CL?

I almost don't want to write a review for this and encourage others to find out about this lovely little site! It is beautifully laid out, very well kept, clean, easy to access (even with a long caravan), friendly owners, spacious, and also within easy access of both Llandudno and Conwy by car, walking, bike or bus. Be aware that Google maps may take you to the back entrance of the farm which is down a no-through road (Bwlch Farm Road). Don't go this way but look for the entrance next to a large CGG sign. During my stay my car broke down and Mark was helpful, friendly and accommodating to my change of plans. I was grateful for his help and understanding. This also meant that I had to make use of the local bus system which was so easily accessible at the end of the drive, with information on bus times, etc. displayed on site. Thank you to Mark for making a stressful situation much easier to deal with. My only negative point was that I chose a CL for its quietness as I generally do not enjoy stays on bigger campsites as much. However, during my stay a pop-up campsite opened in the adjacent field for 60 tents. The beautiful view I had from my caravan window of sheep and cows in the next field changed to a motorhome, tent and family with three dogs! It was not really a problem, but be aware when booking for stays in high season. Despite this, I would very happily return and would recommend the site.
