Booked by email, confirmed date ok, then had quite an abrupt phone call, asking were we coming, this was a week too soon, thought we sorted that when arrived Cary’s sister asked why we had not come yesterday? Showed all correspondence,
Site has nice views set in a large field, but was told not to let dog off lead to play ball, although we could be well away from other users.
Walked the the Ship one night through footpath to bay, booked table for following night, but due to my husband having a bad leg we decided to drive there, before we got out of Motorhome someone came and told us we were not welcome, landlord does not like camper vans or Motorhomes, although plenty of work vans in car park
Some Road noise
We will not be back to site or pub!
3 nights stay
This is a lovely site it’s has everything on the door step costal path cafe’s pubs and beaches
Fabulous CL- A lovely stay here!
We just left after a wonderful 2 night stay.
Easy arrival, great access, safe and spacious. It had a beautiful meadow, wonderful views of Red Wharf.
A lovely walk down to the bay. Well spaced out pitches with own water/ electricity.
We enjoyed watching the buzzards, bats, rabbits and seagulls in the evenings.
Thank you. We would highly recommend this CL to others.
Nice CL
Just spent 3 nights here in our Motorhome 7.4 mtrs.
Nice site .
Great views water on each pitch.
Booked and paid on line one of the owners popped in the introduce herself , over all pretty good .
Paid 21quid a night .
Lovely Site - traffic noise a little irritating
Just got back from 4 days break with my daughter and grandkids. Lovely open site, plenty of room for them to play. Views are glorious and site is only slightly sloping and wasn't an issue. Useful having a tap on each pitch and grey water was disposed of into the hedge. Chemical disposal was by the entrance again no issue. Pleasant welcome from Carys' sister who gave us helpful info on how to get to the bay and where the closest beach best for kids was. Nice walk (about 1 mile) down to the bay which the kids (10,7,3) managed with no problem and had a potter around the bay which is pebbly although apparently Benllech is just around the corner, within walking distance but not for a 3 year old. Nice pub which we'd intended to go back to for a meal but unfortunately ran out of time. My only gripe was some traffic noise but as I live in the middle of nowhere I'm used to it being quite so other people may not find it an issue.
Great Views
Tyddyn y Mor site is easy to find set just of the A5025 entrance is wide and the first thing you see is the view of Red Wharf Bay .The field itself slopes away from the pitches which are situated at the top of the field which allows you to see across the valley. The coast path passes nearby and offers plenty of good walks around the bay and further,it passes the Ship Inn which do excellent food .The site is in a good position for visiting the island and surrounding area.Worth a visit and hopefully will be back.
Lovely Open Site
Tyddyn Y Mor is a lovely 'open' site, being in a large sloping field. The pitches are well-spaced out at the top of the field (and fairly level) with good views of both the bay and surrounding countryside. The whole site is well organised, in terms of chemical disposal, bins etc, and there is loads of space to walk a dog around the field. A short 'wooded' walk takes you right to The Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay. My only slight niggle was the noise from the A5025, which is a little way behind the pitches. However, having said that, it didn't really cause a problem, and I shall be back to this lovely site. Thank you Carys!
Very relaxing
This is a perfect site to explore the island from. It was very quiet and relaxing to return to with gorgeous views over red wharf bay and snowdonia. Pitches are a good size. Electricity didn't trip or cut out despite the site being full. Water tap at each pitch. Plenty of space for dogs to be walked or for families to spread out.
Would highly recommend for a lovely relaxing holiday.
Lovely site
We stayed for 4 nights at the end of April and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views over Red Wharf Bay are beautiful. The pitches are located in a field of approx 5 acres. The owners considerately mow a track around the perimeter of the field for walking. We have a dog who is a little nervous of other dogs and people so it was most welcome to have a decent, quiet dog walk on site where you have good visibility of any other dogs or people approaching. If you don't want to take your motorhome off site there is a bus stop within short walking distance. We found the site ideal for us.
Lovely site.
We really enjoyed our stay here which was end of the August beginning of September this year. Carys made us very welcome on arrival. There are no facilities, but we always use our own anyway!
The field is very flat with good drainage - as mentioned in another review the grass is kept short all around the inside of the site for a quick dog walk.
The views of Red Wharf Bay and the mountains are stunning.
There is a pathway down to the bay, which we used. We also walked down to the bay (and pub) along the road and that only took ten minutes - a little longer on the way back!
We haven't been to Anglesey before and really love the place with lots of hidden bays and villages all round the Island. All within easy reach.
We hope to visit again next year.
