Brilliant site

Almost didn't post a review as we would like to keep this site to ourselves! Lovely site with great views of Snowdonia. John and Rachel were really helpful, the site toilets and showers were spotless and television reception excellent. Local pub had good beer and perfect WIFI reception. This is a brilliant location for seeing the rest of Anglesey and our dog Bella loved it as most of the beaches here are dog friendly which is real plus.

Lovely week

We stayed here for a week with our two dogs and had such a lovely time.  The site was very peaceful - although there is a football goal in the middle so I would think it is less peaceful during the school holidays.  The loo and shower were always spotless with no queue anytime I visited, however they are a bit of a walk.  We visited loads of the sites and attractions and did some of the Coastal path, all easily reached from the site.  The owners were very friendly and helpful.  We will definitely return - especially if the weather is as good as last week.

Hidden Treasure

Recently stayed on this site, very warm welcome from owners John & Lesley, they have an enormous amount of information on hand, nothing too much trouble yet not at all intrusive. This site has individual taps for each pitch such a bonus, toilet and shower exceptionally clean and well presented. So much to see on Anglesey that we will have to come back several more times, beautiful dog friendly beaches too.

Great CL

Lovely CL, well laid out, spacious pitches, friendly and helpful owners. There is the advantage of a shower and toilet, kept beautifully clean. The site is surrounded on three sides by a hedge giving protection from harsh weather. This would have been a perfect break for us and it deserves the five stars we have given. It wasn't so much the weather which spoilt it but the inconsideration shown by other  campers. Three of these thought it acceptable to let their dogs use the area as a toilet, one walked his two dogs on a lead and allowed it to do it's business. Yes he picked up but there were kids there who ran around that area and could have been affected. The other two thought it acceptable to let their dogs wander on their own. There was faeces left in the hedges, (didn't see the culprit), but one enjoyed cocking his leg against the awnings, ours included.  These were regular visitors staying several weeks and we felt unable to complain as they seemed to have the run of the place.  Avoid school holidays and you will find this site a gem. Yes, we would love to return it would be a perfect site to stay on to see the beauty of the area.

As you turn off the road into this site there are pitches to the right which we wrongly assumed to be the C.L. in fact you continue along the drive way through a small field and into another which is for Caravan Club members. This spacious grassed area has high hedging around it's perimeter which offers protection from any high winds. We were pleased that each pitch had it's own drinking water supply and good TV reception, the well appointed toilet block with lovely hot water showers (at no extra cost) were some hundred yards away annexed to the owners house. The member owners are a charming couple and I think understand the modern needs of a C.L. user and are developing their site accordingly. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here using it as a base to explore Anglesey.

Nice tidy site

This is a lovely tidy site run by a very welcoming couple. Excellent access to the rest of the island. The only downside for us was no access to footpaths near the site for dog walking or for days when you just didn't want to get in the car. Apart from that all good. Lots of people on site were regular visitors which says it all.

Wonderful site

Visited this site for 6 nights at the end of May and loved it from the first day. As we turned into the drive a sign told us which pitch we were on. No issues of how to pitch, and we had sole use of water tap which was a bonus. Waste was straight to hedge. Pitch 4 is a slightly sloping pitch but had great views across the Island to Snowdonia. John was brilliant and very friendly. Toilet and shower was about 400 yards back up the field and attached to he house, as was the chemical outlet. Cannot fault the site and chatting to other users who were obviously returners so proves how good the site is. Ideally placed for touring the island, but no dog walk apart from the field itself. Cycling is popular and we followed the route from Llangefni down to Maltreath and on to Newborough forest and ended up at the small island on the beach. Very easy if long ride, but no facilities on the beach or in the forest so take food and drink. Loads to do and see, Puffin Island, Penmon point, Holyhead, Trearddur Bay list goes on. Great for mountains, castles and beach's! 30/60 mins drive from Snowdonia, Caernarfon etc.
