A bad start didn't end up getting much better!

Very unfortunately the GPS coordinate given for this site isn’t correct and it resulted in us first of all going to the very poor and minute CL which is quite literally only a few yards away up the road! The correct coordinates are 53.31630 –4.26460, please note I have duly advised the Club about. As for this site and the reason why I only give it a low star mark is for the simple reason that this is in effect 3 sites all in one, sharing the very same toilet and shower (which we didn’t use). On entering the site from the road, immediately to both your left and right are several pitches which were all occupied by touring outfits, then you drive through what is a quite large rally field which doubles as a dog walk and then you finally drive into a smaller paddock area that is the CL field which is very slightly sloping and in itself is OK, but as for the views, even in periods of excellent visibility, yes you can see the mountains way off in the distance, but it is hardly spectacular! And then there is the very long walk to the foul waste disposal point which at almost 100 mtrs. is far too far away and heaven knows what it would be like if there was a full rally field as well. The worst experience I had was that the owners had suddenly decided to increase their charges to £15 per night and had not advised me that they were doing so when I had made the booking only a few days before our visit. Needless to say I only paid the rate that was in existence when I had made my booking! Very poor for walking dogs from the site. The only good point I can make about the site is that there is an excellent Indian Restaurant only a relatively short walk away.

Great CL

Lovely CL in a great location close to the lovely village of Benllech with its great beach, local shops and cafes. Facilities are good, spotless toilet and great shower (no extra cost). Grass cut regular and field well kept. We were there whilst there was a rally on in another fielld. The owner did make us aware before we went and said it wouldn't bother us which it didn't. That said I didn't realise that you had to go through the rally field to get to/from the CL field and to get to/from the toilets/shower and I didn't like that bit particularly.

A gem of a site. You'll love it!

We have just returned home following a week in Anglesey at Tyddyn Osgar. This was our third visit to Brynteg and we had a wonderful time. We were lucky with the weather and had a great time with our dog, Charlie. The site is easily accessed and provides a peaceful and tranquil environment. Rachel and John are the most friendly and welcoming of hosts and provide excellent facilities for their guests Brynteg is an excellent base for touring the entire island and most places are easily accessible in a motorhome. I can recommend a walk down to the vast beach at Aberffraw and Cable Bay, a little further up the coast. Moelfre and Cemaes are a must for visitors. Plas Newydd also has wonderful gardens and provides spectacular views of the Menai Straits and the Britannia Bridge. We had a wonderful time and I am sure we will return again to your lovely site. Thank you Rachel and John.

Perfect CL ,great holiday.

We found this CL whilst looking online and after reading all the positive reviews booked 3 weeks in June. We had a brilliant 3 weeks, the weather was generally kind, the site great, spacious with views to the mountains of Snowdonia, a nice clean shower and toilet and a very warm welcome from John and Rachel. When he's not cutting the grass John finds time for a chat and if you like biking or walking Rachel can give you lots of information, and in our case went biking a few times with us. There are not many sites where you get such a warm welcome, and although I was a bit 'cheeky' I think they might let us go again but if not me at least my wife. Ha ha. Great job J and R, an absolute pleasure to meet you. Mike and Sue 70+ year old caravanners. Anglesey has some super beaches, great walks and bike rides. Not a long way to Snowdonia for even more stunning scenery. Oh and lovely people, so many pleasant and attentive folk in shops, cafes and pubs. You really need to visit this area. Cheers!

perfect break

Reluctant to share this secret, but would be unfair not to let people know how good this site is ! Rachel and John made us feel so welcome right from the start, with a personalised greeting pinned to a board near the entrance which we spotted on our arrival. A lovely friendly family, who keep a lovely clean site, toilets and showers cleaned on a regular basis. Location is rural but not too far from Benllech which is a lovely coastal village / small town with shops, pubs and takeaways.Stayed for ten days and honestly could not find fault with this site and would not hesitate to stay there next time we are on Anglesey. Peace and Tranquility

Stayed here for three nights early September. A very warm welcome from the owners upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The site is in a great location, easy to find with good access. Grass pitches, well kept with great views over to the Snowdonia mountain range. Each pitch has its own water tap which is very convenient. Toilet and shower a short walk away adjoined to the farm house. Spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water on tap. We had the bonus of great weather during our stay meaning we were able to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities of walking various coastal paths all within a half hour drive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this CL and we will certainly be back in the future.

Simply the BEST

Stayed for one night only but the site is brilliant the toilets and showers are exceptionally clean, the owners were a pleasure to meet, John was so helpful nothing was too much for him. When ever we come to Anglesey in the future this would be only this CL we would stay at..... period. I wish all CL's were like this one. Thank you

Great CL

Stayed here twice in September and October. The CL is well located with very easy access, but make sure you pick the right CL - see below. We were well placed for access to the A5025, whether north or south. The Coastal Path was accessible at Benllech, though one day we took the regular bus from Moelfre to Amlwch and walked back.

The Beachcomber restaurant in Benllech is highly recommended and is 30 minutes walk away. Try the hanging skewers! The California pub is handy, though we didn't eat there. John and Rachel were very welcoming and helpful and their shower and toilet facilities were spotless!

Definitely a site to return to.

LOCATION: At the time of writing, the CC site only shows this CL in the middle of Brynteg, but the location on the CC map is actually that of another CL, Bryn Goronwy, also with water to pitch, shower and toilet facilities. We actually pitched on the wrong CL (power & water on, awning up) before meeting the owner, who directed us to Tyddyn Osgar, which was 50m further down the road, on the left coming from the California Pub. After a rapid de-camp and a tow in 1st gear we arrived safely!
