Autumn Colours

This CL is close to some beautiful countryside and walks on the River Usk and Brecon canal. Good golf course a short distance away. Very welcoming. The pull in is very good from the narrow road with plenty of room to pull in off the road. The owners very kindly did not put up the price for the time we were there (early November) but having said that, the electric supply was a bit low and we could not have used any extra electricity anyway because the trips kept going. Fortunately we were the only ones on the site and could move our cable the three times this happened. We were not pulling much electricity anyway (no more than say 8amps) and had to be careful to switch off the water heater when using anything else. I think they need to look at their supply to the trips. We would, though, be more than happy to use this CL again.

peaceful site for CL

having arrived, from Essex, welcomed very nicely on site & very helpful too. The site has 5 hard standing pitches for wheels, made of paving slabs leaving grass for awning to peg down. The grass did have alot of clover on it, because of the hot weather, but when it is cut, it is lovely for chairs tables etc outside. The only neighbours you have are the sheep in the next fields, but other than that, chill out & relax,do your own thing,BBQ & a glass of wine, lovely and peaceful, highly recommend, also the little town of Abergavenny is not far away, its well worth a vist, nice shops & very friendly there as well.

Brilliant CL Site

Reasonably easy to find, using google maps, not CC book. We came via the M4 Junction 24 A449 to Usk, turn right in town onto B4598. continue to Iron Bridge Traffic lights road bears right, but you bear left. At next cross roads, turn left , site is ½ mile up the hill on the right hand side BEFORE the farm, take it slow up the hill and you will be OK. Access is good, you just hold your breath for that last ½ mile lane Hook up recycling and disposal points well maintained A beautiful location with great views. Each pitch having hard standings for your wheels made up of paving slabs, leaving grass for pegging down your awning. Ideal for sight seeing with some spectacular scenery around Blaenavon without leaving your car Ideal quiet spot to get away from it all for a few days. Sheep in the next field, but other than that no one to annoy you. We will be back when we want to chill out.
