A lovely little site near to the cracking town of Pateley Bridge.
All grass and quite sloping, so levellers are needed.
A very friendly helpful owner. Superb views and peace and quiet.
Pub just down the road is walkable as are the Brimham rocks. An amazing unusual rock formation just a 20 minute walk from the site.
Lovely tranquil site with fantastic views
Has to be one of the best CL sites we've visited. Lovely warm welcome with scenery to die for. Local pub short walk away serving traditional "pub grub". Stayed an extra night it was that great….we will be back.

Wonderful site
Lovely peaceful site with stunning views of an area of outstanding natural beauty. The owners are friendly and helpful with a warm greeting. The site is on a working farm so expect sheep, lambs and the occasional tractor. Easy access to the amazing Brimham Rocks and great walks in Nidderdale. There's a pretty good pub a short walk away down the lanes or an even shorter walk down the road. The site does slope but creative use of blocks and ramps will see you level. We will return.

A hidden Gem
We have stopped on this CL a couple of times. It is hidden from the road but positioned with excellent views across the Nidderdale valley. The owners are very friendly and make you welcome. Yes it not the flattest site but it is a CL and in the Dales. We haven't had any issue getting our long van level and although we always carry leveling blocks there is some on site to use. Brimham Rocks is a short walk away or pick up the Nidderdale way for a walk into Pateley Bridge. This CL is certainly on our list to return to.
A wonderful CL with wonderful owners.
Had a wonderful stay here. I was camping alone with my 2 year old and everyone connected to the farm was wonderful; they couldn't have been more helpful or kind. My daughter fed the lambs and played in the river (with buckets and spades lent to us by the owners) The site and views are beautiful with great walks all around. With the advice and directions from the owners we walked to Brimham Rocks and other pretty places. Short drive into Pately Bridge where there is a great park for kids and some lovely cafes.

Helpful welcome, very near Brimham Rocks, but all sloping
We were welcomed on arrival by Helen, one of the site owners. We were fortunate to stay during a spell of fine weather, so could appreciate the peaceful rural situation and the lovely views across Nidderdale. The amazing Brimham Rocks are only a mile away by footpaths, or ten minutes by car. This was not an easy site to pitch on, as both sections slope in all directions. It would be helpful if this was noted in the sites directory, as levelling blocks are certainly required.

Picturesque
We have just got back from from a weekend here the family were lovely, our son loved feeding the lambs. The walk to Brimham Rocks was very pretty lots of bluebells and wildlife, very peaceful, we really enjoyed how picturesque this site was! it really is ideally located. The downside is it's very hilly so we would recommend good quality wheel chocks and a good supply of stackable jack pads! The local pub the half moon is in walking distance and very friendly for walkers and dogs not that we had a dog but our little one was made up with the dogs that passed though...I was quite cross as I rang ahead as Im coeliac and they said they catered I should have quizzed a bit more! basically it was curry or omelette not really what I wanted for Sunday lunch when everyone else was having nice dinner but everyone else ate there it was good value good portion size...
Trout Beck 'Treat'
On arrival we were made more than welcome at Trout Beck farm. Despite the owners being very busy with lambing they found time to offer advice on footpaths and places to visit, with Brimham Rocks being a very short walk away. The family also welcomed us all to see the ewe's lambing. Great for kids.
Approaching the site from the main road needs careful manoeuvring. The site is slightly sloping but there are more than adequate water and electric points. Would recommend and visit again.
Visit May half term 2013
Just returned from 5 days on this CL. Access from main road is a bit tight but farm track is good, no passing possible as track has dry stone walls each side. Site is quiet as situated in a dip away from road with views down the valley. Pitches are on mown grass with levelling blocks required . Owners very welcoming and helpful and family also own a B&B not far away. TV and phone reception is excellent and there is a pub just up the road (didn't try it). Site is close to local attractions: Fountains Abbey & Brimham rocks - you can walk to the latter from the site via a pretty Bluebell wood. Will certainly use site again!
