Just returned from our second visit here. We'd ruled out this site a couple of times when looking previously for some reason but decided to give it a chance after our favourite site down the road closed to tourers. I'm so pleased we booked, it has to be said this site really grows on you and is a perfect place to unwind. Mr Swift is very welcoming and accommodating. Levelling blocks handy on some of the pitches but generally reasonably flat. Grass is well cut and clippings removed so no nasty wet grass underfoot. Peaceful and quiet and the sunsets are stunning. You can just see the boats on the canal if you look carefully through the trees in the distance or with binoculars. Very well situated to visit lots of places. Ormskirk town is definitely worth a visit, very quaint and plenty of nice cafes. Can highly recommend Taylors farm shop nearby for a your meat, vegetables, cheese and treats, not the cheapest but definitely quality produce. Hope you like it as much as us.
