Scorching, peaceful weekend.

Just returned from a peaceful weekend here. Very friendly welcome. Welcome board giving info for your arrival. Large spacious pitches. Great sunset views. Lovely walk to the Saracens head. Sat outside in the beer garden overlooking the canal. Drove to Ormskirk, great market on. Drove to Crosby beach..who needs the Bahamas!! Will definitely return!

Return assured

What a delight to stay at this site. Owner David so helpful and friendly. Nothing to much trouble, makes such a difference to be welcomed on to a site that is not going to charge you the earth. This in my opinion is what caravaning is all about, to start your visit with the best of welcomes. Thank you David.

A Real Gem

This is a wonderful CL, clean, tidy and welcoming. Situated on The Moss between Southport and the beautiful market town of Ormskirk and well sited for Liverpool via the train from either town. The site is well sheltered being surrounded by trees. Great dog walks. And a lovely pub/restaurant, The Saracen's Head, on the banks of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, (Dogs in the beer garden only).  For by and Freshfiled are with easy reach for beautiful beaches and National Trust pine woods where you can see red squirrels! Crosby beach is just a few miles away, this is where you can see Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' 100 cast iron, life-sized figures, an art installation on a 3 mile stretch of beach, also spectacular sunsets (check tide times, the men are underwater at high tide!) Book your pitch soon for this little gem.

Peaceful

Peaceful site just off a quiet road behind holiday cottages. Close to Leeds-Liverpool canal for nice tow path walks, Canal side Pubs in both directions. Please note gps co-ordinates are incorrect pointing to the wrong farm on the map. Correct location is at 53.575605, -2.941654

Roland and Christine

This has been our first visit to this site and it will not be the last. The site is immaculate and David obviously takes great pride in ensuring that standards are maintained to the highest levels. all pitches appear to be level and for once we just drove on to our pitch, put the kettle on and job done. No faffing about with ramps.

David & Enid's Hideaway

Having been here many times this is a stunning site, surrounded by fields with fabulous sunsets.Access to the site is exellent & David has a board to tell you which pitch has been allocated to you.(he also has three lovely cottages - old barn conversions to rent) The site is always very well kept & all pitches will suite all sizes. Walking the dogs is perfect as at the bottom of the lane is a public footpath leading to the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Ormskirk is just a short journey away with a wonderfull market on Friday & Saturday.Southport being 20mins away. Try the Saracens Head Pub in the village for a good pint and exellent meal - not cheap but excellent quallity.
