This is why everyone loves the Lizard peninsula.

We always holiday on CLs in our VW camper and Trevassack is easily our favourite CL in the UK. We have just returned from a week's stay at the end of May/beginning of June, our favourite time to visit the beautiful Lizard peninsula and take in the wildlife and nature on some breathtaking walks around the coast and further inland. You will need to be self contained when you visit this peaceful and secluded CL, although there is a toilet for guests, chemical disposal point and EHU on the pitches, all of which are nicely spaced out and sited on a level grassy meadow, with one hardstanding area. The meadow is regularly mown and beautifully kept and surrounded by woods and fields, most of which are accessible to guests. In spring we always look out for carpets of wild orchids both on the CL and across the lane on Goonhilly Downs- it's an easy walk to look at the radio telescopes at the Earth Station, passing ancient grave mounds on the way. Cisie and David are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced hosts with plenty of good advice about what to see and where to go and in the summer there is usually the opportunity to buy home made jam, fresh fruit and veg from Trevassack's own gardens. There are plenty of safe, secure dog walks from the site, which is important to those of us who holiday with our canine companions. For dog-friendly pub meals out I can recommend the Halzephron Inn at Gunwalloe (dog friendly beach) and the Ship Inn at Mawgan, both of which serve excellent food and are within a short drive of the CL. Roskilly's Farm at St Keverne is a popular venue for lunch, dinner and ice cream and welcomes dogs in its courtyard and on its farm walks. We have been visiting the Lizard peninsula for forty years now, and Trevassack really encapsulates everything we love about this part of Cornwall.
