Perfect site for our 5th wheel

This was our first CL and only our 4th campsite with our new 5th Wheel. We were slightly worried about access and manoeuvrability but had no problems negotiating the entrance on arrival. Once in we had bags of room to park up and had a choice of either of the two fields. As a totally grass site we were fine as we were in the middle of a heatwave and the ground was bone dry, the grass manicured and pretty flat. We used the hookup which was fine. The single WC was perfectly adequate for our needs. Views were superb across to the Northern Fells where we took several walks and some wild swimming in the Lowther and Eden rivers. All in all a friendly site that was a perfect antidote after 3 weeks in larger sites. We'll be back.

Just perfect.

Just returned from an eight night stay on this beautifully kept site. We stayed on the larger field of the two which gave our two boys plenty of space to play. The hens roaming freely around the site were a delight to see and very entertaining, 1 hen even came into our caravan daily. Great tasting eggs to purchase from them too. The weather was very good which was an added bonus, many many places to visit within easy distance the area is just outstanding. If you like a site full of peace and quiet (apart from the roosting crows!) then this is a must! We have travelled about abit in our van but this was by far one of the most enjoyable holidays we have had. Thank you to the lovely mr and mrs noble for such a great site. Have booked again already to secure a spot as i do think it has its returning members. . The turner family.

SO PEACEFUL.

Came across this CL as we were needing access to North Lakes for a change. We had recently been to Penrith which is a vibrant town with all you will need and more. The site is really well signposted and gives you lots of choices as where to pitch,{bring 2 power lines to increase your choices}. Peaceful yet so near to the shops and its so nice to put another spin on The Lakes by being North.

Great little CL

Great little CL, very handy for Penrith and the Northern Lakes. Well maintained level grass field with all amenities close to hand. Very pleasant owners on hand, their son gave us an excellent tour of what was where when we arrived. The free range chickens are very entertaining. We will definitely be back.

Twenty-two years of happy visiting!

This is a lovely site...quiet with a beautiful meadow. The part of the site for caravans is much larger than your average CL, is well maintained and the owners are extremely welcoming. Fantastic eggs provided by the hens are a real treat.Access to the lakes and places of interest is excellent. Have visited several times a year for the last twenty-two years and intend to keep returning for many years to come.

Beautiful/quiet site

Have just had a two week stay on this beautiful site. There is plenty of space on this larger than normal site, which is well maintained. We were warmly welcomed and given loads of information on places to go, walks to do etc. Not sure which site bossdog18 stayed on, but it certainly ain't this one. There are a small number of hens around, but they did not affect us at all, except from endless supplies of fresh eggs which we had for breakfast every day. The sunsets were stunning as was the wildlife. We even saw a red squirrel! We have booked for August and plan to return in October as well. Would recommend!

Peaceful stay

We have just spent three very pleasant days here. The owner Annette made us very welcome from the email we sent to meeting her to pay our £9 pn fee. The sewerage work mentioned is finished and tree planting has been done. We were in the pitch mentioned by a previous reviewer and did not see the "plant". Toilet was adequate and fully stocked with toilet rolls. We did talk to other caravanner's who were completely delighted with the tranquillity so no complaints there. This is a working farm area so you will hear tractors moving around the lanes and there were chickens are on site but we had no problems with them! 5 minutes drive from the M6 for those travelling to Scotland so a great over night stop. Having said that you do not hear traffic noise from the motorway. Morrisons Supermarket 20 mins away for those staying longer or needing Fuel. Plenty to see and do close by and for visiting the lakes they are easy to reach from here.  Once parked up you are completely surrounded by fields and country lanes what more could you want? Thank you Annette we will be back.

Doesn't live up to expectations

When we arrived there were already five vans on site plus a semi-derelict looking caravan and a mobile food trailer. Far from being a lawned garden this site is just a piece of field.
