October visit
The site is a level paddock behind the farm houses and the H/S pitches each have their own water point. There is also a toilet, but no wash basin. Access to the site is about 1/2 ml down a single track lane that leads only to the farm, but one also has to negotiate the farmyard to enter the site. There are a couple of footpaths that pass the site and are suitable for walking ones dog, although they do get a bit muddy following rain. We received a warm welcome from the owners who pointed out places for us to visit. The major downside, as others have said, was the strong smell coming from the pig barn and a fair level of noise. The site is convenient for the towns of the Fylde coast, and we might use it again in the future.
