Ease of arrival/welcome

Very friendly stay

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of March, and although Robb was extremely busy with the lambing, he gave us a very friendly welcome and indeed said we were more than welcome to go down for tea/coffee sometime over the weekend - an offer we took up on our last day there once we got back from one of our bike rides. Not only did we get a cuppa, but his son brought out an assortment of cakes and biscuits. Robb certainly can talk and his son was lovely! We were also told we were free to go down to the barn where the ewes were lambing. Unfortunately we missed a couple of births, but it was lovely to see the newborn lambs and all the care that Robb and his son gave to them. The views were spectacular from the site - which we had to ourselves over the 3 nights. We had a couple of bike rides over the two days - one of which was to Omagh. On our return from that ride, and after our cuppas, Robb suggested we cycle up to the "high road" above the site. We were glad we did and equally glad that we were on e-bikes (it was a steep climb) - but once up there the vista was well worth it, with the added bonus of a beautiful rainbow. There were a couple of donkeys in the field in front of the pitch area which was also lovely. All in all a lovely stay. The fees are now £20 per night and we also were given half a dozen eggs before we left.
