A great family holiday

We stayed here during the school summer holidays and had a great time with great weather. This site is great for kids as all the caravans are around the edge of the site with a small climbing frame in the middle where the kids can meet and parents can keep an eye on them. We will be back

Lovely site - would definitely return

First let me say that whilst we stayed at the ‘Three Oaks Caravan Site’ we had the most beautiful weather – so my review is as seen through ‘rose coloured spectacles’ (or sun glasses). The field had been freshly mown when we arrived and was mown again just before we left. In between mows a beautiful carpet of yellow buttercups and white daisies appeared. The field is slightly sloping and levelling ramps may be required (depends how fussy you are). We were welcomed by the owner who loaned us a book of aerial photos of Pembrokeshire; which was both fascinating and informative. The facilities (toilet, shower, sink) are basic and all housed in a rustic stone barn together with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Unfortunately the barn has only one door so you may have to wait; particularly as facilities are shared with the ‘tent’ site next door. Obviously, if you have your own facilities this is not a problem. Also on site were a climbing frame and swing (for the young) and a picnic table for alfresco dining. The site is beautifully situated, quiet and is central for the main south Pembrokeshire towns and attractions. Of particular note are the ‘Cresselly Arms’ (real ale straight from the barrel but no food) 1.5 miles to the north and the ‘Quayside Tearooms’ at Lawrenny 4 miles to the west (only open Noon – 4pm for delicious lunches). There are farm shops at Milton (or if you must - Tesco’s is nearest supermarket in Pembroke Dock). Dog walking is just out of the field. Wi-fi is a bit slow – but you’re on holiday and so shouldn’t be using in any case ! Summary - lovely site, friendly owner, good location, quiet and fantastic weather (at least it was the week we were there ! ). Would definitely return.
