A little gem

We visited this site in August 2015.  We arrived to a very warm welcome from the owners, to an absolutely delightful little site, where the grass was mowed and kept short, and there were lovely baskets and tubs of flowers.  There was a small information hut with tables and chairs, as well as a couple of picnic tables on the site.  There was a toilet available for visitors use, which was cleaned to within an inch of its life, situated on the old station platform.  A ten minute walk took you to the main road where you could catch the bus to Norwich or Fakenham.  The site is adjacent and about midway along the Marriotts way, where you can walk or cycle from Aylsham to Norwich. We went through to Whitwell which is a  working Railway, running Steam and Diesel engines. They also hold regular events and there is a cafe where you can get snacks and drinks.  The only down side for us was that there was no mobile phone service.  Apparently there is a bit of a black hole in that part of Norfolk, unless you are on Vodaphone, which we were not, but that is easily overcome if you go into the nearby towns.  All in all a delightful stay and we will return.

Really Really Good

We have just spent six night here at the station. What a pretty CL Nicely cut grass with flowering flower beds and baskets galore at Keith keeps in good order. The CL sits right on the Marriotts way Trail Great for cycling in both directions ! If you are geocachers like us 80 + geocaches are set along it. The weather was perfect during our stay (July 15) and it proved to be a great sunny spot too. During our stay we watched a family of blackbirds from our van the youngsters were as large as their parents and pretty cocky strutting with their tails up, however we found one morning one had become trapped in our awning it must have come in under the van It was in a real panic to get out and during its panic it messed every where up the walls over the chairs but did manage to get out on its own. It took a while to clear up .......The wife gets all the good jobs :-) One the whole a fantastic stay here Well Recommended

Great CL

We have just returned from our 3 night stay at this CL. Such a lovely site! The site owners are extremely friendly, and Keith showed us to the site and told us to park wherever we wanted. The people who had left that morning had been there for a month (so it must be good) and the grass had grown and he mowed it for us as we waited. Very nice walk along the Marriotts Way which runs alongside, and easy to visit much of Norfolk. Would highly recommend this site and we look forward to returning.

The Station Attlebridge

We visited this great CL 3 times last season 2012 and have already booked again for 2013. The site is very well managed by the most friendly and helpful of couples we have had the pleasure to meet the site is immaculately maintained and next to the Marriott Way Cycle path from Norwich to Aylsham a distance of some 24 miles which passes through some very pretty villages and countryside views. We would thoroughly recommend it to all members

Marriot Way Cycling Break

We visited this CL in April of 2012 as we had always fancied cycling the Marriot Way track which runs from Norwich to Aylsham. It was very easy to find using the directions in the book. The pitches were all on grass but reasonably level and had no bother setting up. The owner showed us the best place to be - on top of what had been the old railway track and was therefore quite firm. However, and this has nothing to do with the CL we must have chosen the rainiest week to be there and the ground was soft and required us to leave the car at the entrance gate which of course is no bother as that saved the grass being cut up. The CL is right next to the cycle track which was very convenient as we could go both ways. Again because of the rain the track was extremely muddy and in some places nearly impassable. There are plenty of things to do roundabout this CL without even having to venture in to the City of Norwich so we had no "what will we do today?" discussions. Very helpful owners and hope to be back sometime. Thanks Alan & Ros
