Excellent CL

A level grass area with trees between the pitches (electric) and the road. A very pleasing site, and one that I will return to in the future. The owner met us on arrival, and everything during our stay was fine. I didn't really hear any dogs barking from the nearby kennels, and the mirrors are up to make leaving the site very easy. All in all, the view over Romney Marsh is pleasant, and the sun is with you all of the day. The toilet is functional and does the job, and also has automatic lights when you approach it during the hours of darkness. I have to say that I have not really been a CL type of member, but will certainly be going back to this one :)

A very pleasant CL

We have just come back from this CL... We stayed a week and it really is in a lovely location on the Romney Marsh... just under the village of Aldington.. Sue and Roger are both very friendly and welcoming and you immediately feel at home here... We had good weather and a lovely stay the scenery.. was lovely... We did had two slight problems... one was small bugs that came from the pea field that was right next to us... ( the people the other side did not suffer from them...and they didn't bite and they would only last for a few days... and the crop will change next year so that was really no problem.... the other small problem was that there is a dog kennel next door... but we only had noise one morning. When my hubby popped in to say that we were finding it a bit noisey, he met Roger doing the same thing ... showing they care about the noise level... and within half and hour it had gone quiet again.. after that it was just the odd bark... There are mirrors up now to help you get out so that is a good thing.. All in All a good well run and pleasant CL we will certainly be going back... I would just add be care on the road to Dymchurch, as it is quite narrow and bendy and the local do seem to travel along it a bit too fast... (or maybe I am just getting old ) !!!

A pretty ok CL

Booked a week at this Cl 11th Jan 2013 coldest week of the year so far , owner on hol , so sorted water etc out ourshelves which was fine.. ie turning water on and off draining taps . 2 hard standings ... not that hard... but bearing in mind the amount of rain they were ok ......the meadow looked nice and level..... big too . the lane runs close to the electric hook ups ... could not believe how fast the local people speed past ! the entrance could do wiv some mirrors to make access safer . the facilities were good .
