Beautiful site - will return
Fantastic!
Peace and Quiet
This CL is the best that we have stayed on. Make a slow approach to the entrance of the site though or you may miss it.....we did! The approach from the Barmouth direction appears easier as it seems a tighter turn from the other direction. The owner John offered us a warm welcome and was very helpful during our stay. The view across the bay is fantastic and the sunsets are beautiful. If looking for peace and quiet with stunning views, this CL should not disappoint. We will be returning again next year.
can't wait to return
Great Time In Wales
what a view
we were on this site the last week of august 2015, the views are a real pleaser, sea view from all angles. the site is slightly sloping, when we arrived we had the unlucky problem of real heavy rain and the ground was a little soggy, however despite rain most nights it did dry up enough to avoid wellies. a short drive into Barmouth gave us a nice week. only one little niggle emptying the grey waste was a bit of a drag as its up a sharp incline, but each pitch had its own tap. nice area and well maintained. if you decide to walk down to the beach through the large static site on the other side of the main road if your old codgers like us its like a mountain,. take care of the site driveway if you have a long van, its steep and got a few bends to contend with,. all in all we enjoyed our stay, so did our four year old granddaughter she wants to go again.

Tremendous Trem Enlli
Having just spent two weeks at this CL I cannot recommend it highly enough. This is the first time we have been back to this part of Wales for 11 years having spent nearly 20 years living in Gwynedd. The site occupies an elevated plot overlooking Barmouth Bay and has stupendous views across the bay to the LLeyn Peninsula and Bardsey Island, not to mention the stunning sunsets across the bay - cameras at the ready. Most pitches have an EHU and fresh water tap to the rear, and there is well spaced grey water and chemical toilet disposal points as well as a dedicated motor home service point situated at the entrance to the site. Mr Williams, who is really friendly and very approachable, keeps the site immaculately trimmed, and it is a credit to him. There are also modern toilet and shower facilities, the latter taking 20p coins, which are amongst the best I’ve seen. There is a safe beach literally across the road, through the static caravan site opposite, where there is also a small shop, for those forgotten items, and a Fish & Chip shop - although I would heartily recommend The Mermaid Fish & Chip Shop on Beach Road in Barmouth for absolute quality but, believe me, be prepared to queue - it’s that popular. Barmouth has its own Blue Flag safe bathing beach; I would recommend the far end nearer Llanaber where the Promenade Cafe has take-away tea, coffee, ice creams etc; available. For those odd cloudy days there is plenty to occupy the most demanding and inquisitive of minds including Royal St David’s Golf course and Castle in Harlech, Llechwedd Slate Cavern and Zip Lines at Bleanau Ffestiniog, Ffestiniog/Welsh Highland Railway in Portmadog, Portmeirion Italianate Village in Minffordd whilst for those who have a love of walking and the great outdoors I would recommend the Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park and the Rhaeddr Ddu Waterfall at Ganllwyd. Then there’s – I think you get the point ... there’s plenty to occupy the most requiring of interllects. This is a real gem of a site but, don’t tell everyone – they’ll all want to come!
A nomination for CL of the year
