A superb site - highly recomended

This was the first CL I have visited and I couldn't have asked for anything more, from the initial contact for booking through to closing the gates on leaving everything is first class and well thought through to make the stay as pleasurable as possible.

Beautiful site.

This gem of a site is immaculately maintained and tidy and the owners are friendly and helpful. Each large hardstanding pitch has its own EHU and water and there is ample room between pitches. Access to the site is easy with a wide drive from the road and a double gate. It is in a countryside location yet is close to local amenities and offers easy access to several footpaths and walking/cycling trails. The Five Pits trail is the nearest and just down the road, Teversal Trail, Silverhill Trail and Stockley Trail are all only a few miles away. Hardwick Hall and grounds is close by and well worth a visit. The Hardwick Inn, on the edge of the Hardwick estate and The Carnavon at Teversal offer lovely food. The site is in a great location for visiting the Peak District.

Such a lovely site!

Have had a brilliant stay here for 5 days. Lovely site with really well laid out pitches. Super clean and tidy and perfect for visiting the Peak District. Will most definitely return in the future.

Perfect for hols or stopover

Good Covid-19 prep and pre arrival communication. Flat grassed site with level hard standing pitches, water and waste disposal.enty if space for children to run around. Quite a few walks and stately homes nearby makes it suitable for a quiet break. We came just for a night and it made an easy staging point only 5 miles off the M1.It'll go in our little black book 🙂

A beautifully maintained and safe CL

We booked here as a convenient location but it was so much more. The site was beautifully manicured, each pitch with a gravel standing and individual electric and water points. Entry gate was easy and wide. Plenty of helpful information about the locality even though the little information shed was shut due to COVID. Plenty of hand gel stations at useful points. It is on a working farm so there was the occasional dog and tractor sounds. There are some lovely walks from the site, the 5 Pit Trail bring about 10 mins walk. Jonathon tries to send an email to each booking with how he is keeping COVID safe. It also asked arrivals to follow a set arrival procedure, both for safety and ensuring the lovely grass is maintained. It included lots of local information as well. Thanks for a good few nights in a relaxing but convenient place. Will remember if we ever need an overnight stop when travelling on the M1 as only about 10 minutes off the motorway.

Super little CL

Fabulous CL just off the M1 but far enough to be really peaceful. Excellent pitches with own water and EHU - just waste to dispose of, and even that is downhill. Walking from the site is good and Hardwick Hall (NT) is just a few minutes away. With Covid restrictions still in place the house was shut but the grounds are huge with several marked walks. We broke a journey from the south west to the north east for two nights. Unfortunately at the time of booking they had no free space for the return journey, but if we come back this way we will definitely try to stay here. Thank you Jonathan and Amy for creating such a fabulous site.

Brilliant CL well worth a visit.

Thank you Jonathan and Mrs Jonathan for making our stay so amazing. This CL is really well presented, spotlessly clean and tidy and very well maintained. Each pitch has its own electricity and fresh water which makes such a difference. Really well located, in the countryside but really accessible to main roads including the M1! Gives easy access to so much in Derbyshire. The Covid restrictions were very well applied and felt ‘just right’. Thank you once again and we would highly recommend this CL, not one to be missed!

Beautiful CL Site

This was our second caravan trip and we wanted to try a small CL site. Jonathan and Amy's site is absolutely lovely. They send you an extremely informative information pack by e-mail before you arrive with everything you need to know, making the arrival process so easy. The pitches are hard-standing and so well spaced out, with your own water supply and electric hook up. Waste Water and Foul Disposal Points were close by too (but not too close either!) There are cows literally just behind your caravan which is just fantastic. We are quite fussy and we didn't get one bad smell the whole time we were there! The scenery is lovely. For £15 per night, it is amazing value and we loved it. We would happily pay more as it is such a lovely site. The only slight negative was there was a bit of road noise but nothing noticeable and that is literally the only thing bad we could say. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We will definitely be back! P.S The site is really good for visiting National Trust's Hardwick Hall!

First Trip Out Since Lockdown

Well thought out and well kept CL with lots of space to pull in off of the road to open the gate. There is water tap on pitch and are all large hardstandings with plenty of space between the pitches. Easy to find and approximately 5 miles of the M1. Five Pits Trail near by with one of the circular walks passing through the farm. Plenty of things to do in the area This is a new venture for Amy and Jonathan and they deserve every success. Thank you for a lovely stay we will back.

Well thought out site

We always check reviews before booking a site and this one lived up to expectations. A well thought out new venture and the owners should reap the rewards. We booked by email and were provided with a couple of useful documents with info about the site, nearby places of interest and things you hope you won't need like local doctors and vets. The weather failed to co-operate during our stay but the hardstanding for each pitch ensured there were no muddy issues. It is a working farm with the associated noise and occasional country aromas - neither of these should present anyone with a difficulty. Unfortunately we didn't meet the owners as they were away but their deputy (Mum?) ably provided cover. We're highly likely to be revisiting. Thank you.
