Lovely site with very lovely scenery

We had a 5 night stay here during the heatwave a couple of weeks ago. The site is easy to access, nice and flat with stunning views. Site owners were very friendly and helpful, facilities are adequate, and there is a lovely pub about half a mile walk across the farm and up the road from the site. Great situation for exploring Wiltshire and beyond. There is an extra £2 per night charge for awnings/gazebos.

Beautiful setting

A beautiful location in the heart of the north Wiltshire countryside. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. There are readily accessible country walks, which are also ideal for dog walking. We were really able to relax and unwind.

Excellent scenic and peaceful location

Superb rural location with wonderful views and walks from the site. Very well located for many impressive National Trust properties. A bonus to have toilet and shower facilites on site - clean but rudimentary.

Relaxing, peaceful, lovely CL

Fiona & Matthew were very welcoming and helpful throughout our week long stay. Toilet and shower facilities are good and the heating in there was very welcome. Site is peaceful with some lovely views, including the occasional pheasant wandering by. Our daughters were overjoyed at seeing the lambs at the bottom of the field and delighted to be allowed to help with bottle feeds. Easy to access the CL pitches with good electric hook up, water and waste facilities (and free WiFi) Would happily recommend Fiona and Matthew and their site. Thank you for a great week

Wonderful!

Fantastic site, easy to find and very tranquil, we even managed to survive Storm Brian unscathed! Toilet facilities very good, bath mat and heating greatly appreciated! Winston our dog loved the walk through the woods to Lacock which included a couple of pit stops at The Bell and The Rising Sun (both highly recommended!) Will certainly be returning soon!

A real gem

Only here for one night but wish it was for longer. A very relaxed, helpful and friendly owner. A lovely spacious area to chose from with great views and short grass. The toilet and shower were more than adequate with heat, hot water and even a bath mat provided. The free wifi was an added and a very welcome bonus. A great base for dog walks, fabulous pubs and so many interesting places to visit in the vicinity. My next stay will be for significantly longer!

We have just had a lovely week.

We have just returned home from a lovely week at The Old Vicarage. We have been before, and enjoyed this just as much. It is a lovely peaceful site, easy to find, and very relaxed. The shower and loo are always warm! We put one of the lambs back in its field this morning, and then watched a pheasant drinking from the water trough. Our Weimaraner puppy of eleven months had a lovely time. We found a beautiful walk just down the lane and turn left towards Bowood, through the woods and turn left up the rough lane (not good for cars). At the end you can walk over Spye Park land which is absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely time and will be going back. Thank you Fiona.

Campervan conversion owner

Rustic, Rural, Basic. This is an ideal site from which to explore many of Wiltshire's places of interest, whilst back at camp enjoy the wildlife, birds and walks.

Peaceful and beautiful

What a lovely site - we've already booked our second stay. Easy to find, plenty of room, the grass was a bit slippery so we were directed onto hard standing and given a hook up from the owners workshop. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent spacious toilet and shower - a bonus which we're not used to on certified locations. Very peaceful with lovely views and a nice walk along the lane into local woods. Easy 15mins drive into Melksham. One of the best sites we've stayed at -looking forward to our return visit.
