nice peaceful site

We stayed at this CL for 2 nights in November....and enjoyed being the only unit on site !! There are a number of walks direct from the site with the owners allowing us to walk out of the site through private paddocks and onto the network of public footpaths. There is a very nice shower and wc room which was warm and clean .The Westbrook public house is dog friendly and only a 20 minute stroll from the site...the site has no hard standings but the ground seems well drained ...the site is sloping so levelling blocks are a must for most areas but that was not a problem for us. All in all we will return and have booked to do so ........

Peace & quiet

Leveling blocks are a must. Otherwise all facilities are very good especially the shower block, which is more than adequately heated! Waste disposal well organised. Will come again.

Brilliant

Don't really want to say to much, it may encourage to many visitors. The Site is one of the nicest we have stopped at, the pitch's themselves are in a quiet meadow. The toilet and shower facilities were more than adequate. The welcome was warm, and the area itself is wonderful. The lanes around the site are peaceful and full of wildlife.

Quiet & tranquil

Just returned from a one night stay at this site. Beautiful area, no traffic noise, easy access to the site, and the surrounding villages. Enjoyed a great meal at The Greyhound in Bromham. Avebury and White Horse and monument at Cherhill nearby, and worth the walk for the views. The owners are very helpful and welcoming, and a bonus of a toilet and shower if required. Plenty of hook up is also available. Caravan area is in a meadow with beautiful distant views to the Wessex Downs. Highly recommend this site.

Peaceful sites with good amenities

This is a lovely certified location set in a field overlooking open Wiltshire countryside with no traffic noise at all and with helpful owners. There are good amenities with electric hookup, a good, warm loo and shower and very good WiFi, TV and mobile signal. There are several pubs with good eating within a 30 minute walk and some good places to visit nearby such as Laycock Abbey.

Very Quiet and Relaxing

Just the place if you want a peaceful stay and are pretty self contained. Having said that, the toilet & shower facilities are heated and very good but limited to one person at a time.

Really happy

This certified location is so quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view. So much to see in the surrounding area and great for cycling from the site to Calne, Chippenham and historic Lacock village. The shower is large, with a separate toilet with good heating and fairly close to the caravans. It does cost more than other CLs. Hopefully the price won't go up.

Lovely Position but Work Needed on Facilities

We stayed here for 4 nights when the owners were on holiday. There was supposed to be someone around if we needed any help, however, when we arrived we couldn't find anyone and we didn't see anybody until the afternoon of the second day. There was another couple who had been there a couple of days and they hadn't seen anyone either. The toilet was clean however the shower area was dirty and there was black mould on the tiles, also some tiles missing. This could be a lovely site if the shower area was renovated.

Why so expensive?

Nice peaceful field with ok views-however can’t understand how they can charge £18+£2 for an awning!! Most CL’s are between £12-£15 ?! The shower is dreadful, delapidated, very basic, pretty filthy with dirty towels left in there so the extra cost can’t possibly be because it offers a shower and wc?
