Super Suffolk Stay
Our first stay anywhere with our campervan and this was an ideal site.
Andy was very welcoming and helpful.
The site was well laid out with good, clean facilities.
A lovely, tranquil, quirky and calming site we’d love to revisit.
Highly recommend!!!
Escape from Lockdown
We decided to escape our four wall's at home for a month at the wonderful idylic surrounding's of Andy and Angie's not so four wall's. We was still reluctant to mix with others at home so decided that social distancing could still happen at the Meadow's. We had a wonderful welcome back from Andy, socially distanced of course. This site is still amazing, ideal for people still wanting to isolate but wanting the relaxing nature of the site and all it offers. We decided not to use the club house which has darts, snooker table, television, and many others assorted games but we did use the video/dvd library when the weather was bad to watch back at the caravan. Many an hour was spent with gin & tonic on the decking feeding the fish. There is a very handy local Pub, shop and Rumbles chippy where the portion's are enormous. Andy and Angie's hospitality is great and we will definitely be back. Our time at this site was so relaxing we only went out to do food shopping, no site seeing but there will be lots to do next time we are here. Andy and Angie are so accommodating they just want everyone to have a good relaxing time, they really work hard to keep high standards and meet everyone's need's.Keep up the good work.

Great CL site
Returned for another relaxing weekend at the Meadows, (Please read my previous reviews) Another wonderful stay and great to catch up with the hosts Andy and Angie.
We paid a couple of visits to the village Pub including an excellent Sunday lunch, (they only serve food on a Sunday (12-7pm) at the moment but will be extending this soon with a soft launch when ready). the pub has been renovated to a very high standard.
We also used the chip shop (Rumbles) on the Friday evening (Freshly cooked and good sized portions) and would also recommend.
There are some great signposted walks around Badwell ash.
Will be returning soon!
Fabulous !
What a lovely site this is ! Very peaceful environment including a couple of very large ponds with lots of secluded areas in which to sit and enjoy the water and wildlife. Superb bathroom facility and access to a lounge / games room if required. A pub, fish and chip shop and local shop all within a 10 minute walk. What more could you want, we will definitely be returning.

Carlsberg revisited!
Please read my **If Carlsberg did CL sites** review for my previous review of The Meadows.
We stayed 3 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend for our second stay at Andy and Angies wonderful CL.
As the site is only just over an hour from home this is now our "go to" site for short breaks and it's the perfect place to just relax and chill out!
We like it so much we invited friends to book a pitch, they were only going to stay for one night, they enjyed the fantastic facilities and tranquility so much they extended their stay to two nights! Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple and we echo all the other great reviews on this site and will be back again soon.
The White Horse Pub is 5 minutes walk and has been refurbished to a very high standard and the local shop across from the pub has a good range of supplies (Including wine, Beer and spirits) there is also a chip shop a couple of minutes walk further along the road but we have not tried it yet!
Also, Thanks to the lovely Lady staying on site who (Along with Angie and Andy) helped us to find our naughty dog when he jumped out the window of our Motorhome at night!.
My only problem with writing a review like this is... When word gets out about how lovely the place is i'm going to have to book a long time in advance to get a pitch!!

Super CL
A rare find - a CL VERY close to a village that has a post office/shop and a pub that are not closed! This site is loved and is full of character, with quirky ornaments and small buildings in every nook and cranny - you see something new on every walk around the two small lakes. Two spotless loos, one with en suite shower and a wonderful games room make this an extra ordinary site. Andy was super quick to offer me a long lead as I'd managed to leave mine at home - just need lessons on how he had coiled it so beautifully... We will be back, thank you, and hope to meet Angie next time!
Another wonderful break on the best CL in the UK
We have just spent another almost three week break on this most wonderful CL, this time taking our friends in their own caravan for their first visit. What can we say that has not been said before, the site and hosts are absolutely wonderful, and cannot be faulted. The facilities are like a top class hotel with all the leisure facilities that anyone could want. Abundant wildlife wandering the site Swans, Ducks, Squirrels, two different types of deer, foxes, rabbits and wild birds of every type. We had a lot of rain during the first week but the site did not suffer in any way. A very special thank you to Angie and Andy for the surprise arrangements they made for some of our family to join us over Fathers Day weekend, it was delightful. Cannot wait to get back again, please keep a slot free for us, Andy.

If Carlsberg did CL sites...
We stayed at The Meadows over the end of May Bank Holiday weekend and will be booking to come back soon!
Location:- set in the village of Badwell Ash, over 4 acres of grounds with 2 small lakes (NOT FOR FISHING) are 5 well spaced pitches with electric hook-ups.
Facilities:- One (Very clean) guest bathroom shared exclusively by the 5 pitches with W/c Hand basin and Electric shower and one W/c next door with Hand basin, Washing up area and Chemical toilet cleaning facility by to a converted building housing a full size snooker table, TV area with DVD/Videos available, Table and chairs and a comfortable seating area.
Fire pits and seating areas are available scattered around the site and the pontoon over one of the lakes is a great sun trap.
Hosts:- Angie and Andy have one aim, to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible, (and they do it very well!!)
Area:- The site is a 5 minutes walk for the local Pub (Dogs allowed), local shop with a Fish and Chip shop also nearby.
The site is very quiet and tranquil, a little haven of relaxation and beauty and we would strongly recommend booking a stay.
Andy and Angie are great hosts and The Meadows is definitely on our returns list, (The only problem is, with all the great reviews this place is getting we're going to have to book early to be sure of getting in!)
*Andy advised us he was hosting a family and friends BBQ with a live singer on the Sunday afternoon and there may be some noise before accepting our booking, he also said any guests on site were welcome to come along,
After both Andy and Angie repeated their invite after we arrived we attended their party.
We were offered drinks and food and made very welcome. We also met up with two lovely friendly couples who were also staying the weekend at the Meadows and had a fantastic afternoon.
