Beautiful well kept site

What a beautiful little site. Judy is such a lovely lady and her husband too. Nice pitches with grass kept nice and short. Nice little information hut with everything you need to know. Showers and toilets spotless. This is a working farm but to be honest we didn’t notice any noise at all. Lovely and peaceful with nice walks near by. Nice walk up to Maiden Castle. Lovely wee church in the hamlet too. Easy access from A354 and access to side easy too. Nice and central to where we were needing to visit. Lovely site and met some lovely people there. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful site with lots of local attractions

We visit this lovely site regularly and always have a great time. There are lots of places to visit. On our last visit we stopped at Portland and had coffee and cake at The Beehive Bakery and Cafe and then hopped on an open top bus. This took us up to Portland Bill. The views on the ride are amazing and we would thoroughly recommend it. If you have bus passes they can be used for the journey.

Lovely well kept site in a peaceful hamlet, with great walks and cycles on doorstep

Lovely 5 well kept pitch grass site for CAMC members with low stone barn converted for excellent toilets and shower. Also 2 h/s pitches nearer the farmyard for winter. Good info hut, and all in lea of Maiden Castle on the horizon to the north. Excellent for walks out to Maiden Castle, and to nearby villages. The site sits within a farm and hamlet with an interesting church, a few cottages, and a lovely stream. Dorchester is an easy cycle, or short direct or longer countryside walk, and then a joy.

Superb location.

Very easy access off the main road,Dorchester only 5 minutes away, peaceful site, Judy very pleasant and helpful. Being close to Dorchester means that road access can easily lead North,South, East and West to the rest of the County

Just down the lane

Using the caravan or motorhome this site has it all there's somuch to do. Lovely walks from the site and locally. Frequent Bus service to Dorchester and Weymouth, and onward to Lulworth Bay or Bridport to Lyme Regis, there is even a train to London. The site itself is a gem, just lovely to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The site has all useful amenities, and even hard standing if necesary. A week is never long enough.

Excellent working farm site

This is a special little site, on a working farm but lovely green site with some hard standing, a great welcome but not intrusive at all, very easy access and the little lane approach is not a problem at all, we did not have any problems, we will use again Excellent

Good overnight stop

The site was easy to find and access. The owner came round in the morning to check everything was OK. I was inky staying one night before moving on. Only advise I would say is motorhome users need a sign on a pitch to say in use while they are out as we pulled up and pitched and found out a moterhome user was on the pitch and came across not happy as we had pitched there. We thought the lead was an extension as the electric box for the pitch was afar. I would use again though

An amazing little site

We had a great stay at the Manor House. The site and facilities are really well appointed. The toilet and shower facilities are excellent. The info hut is fantastic addition. The site is ideally located, only a short distance from Dorchester and Weymouth, with a bus stop a few minutes walk away. One slight observation is that the approach road would benefit from some maintenance. I know it's a working farm, but a few tonnes Type 1 would fill in the craters and improve the over-all look and feel on approach to the site. Judy makes regular visits to the site throughout the day to check that everything is okay and chat to visitors. The Manor House is a really great location and we will definitely be coming back to stay again.

One night stand

Found the site very easily. The owner came round and was friendly and helpful. Very quiet. Toilet and shower block was immaculate. First overnight as a campervan owner so pleased we had hard standing, ehu and toilet/shower.

Lovely small, peaceful site

We stayed for three nights. Good shower and toilet plus additional loo. Bus stops just five minutes walk up the road with a bus every 20 minutes. So Dorchester and Weymouth both very accessible. My wife had no problem with the wifi, but I couldn't seem to login. Good power supply and an ariel cable for reasonable TV reception. It's a small hamlet with no immediate shop, pub, etc. Lovely peaceful location. Would return.
