Disappointing CL but very accessible only mins from the main road.
We booked this CL based on previous reviews stating it was peaceful and tranquil but unfortunately for us we experienced very different. We were there 5 nights and 4 nights we experienced tractors and loud machinery noise very late into the evening up to 11pm and also one night the field adjacent was being used for rally driving till around 10pm which we found to be very disappointing.
The CL does have lovely scenery, and there are lots of amenities and places to visit nearby within a short drive.
There’s a very large Tesco Extra just 12mins away for all you BBQ needs and essentials.
The access road is slightly tricky to navigate with the caravan but is totally doable and nothing to worry about.
There is also one other thing to bear in mind, we have unfortunately not found this CL site to be very dog friendly. You are unable to exercise your dog anywhere on-site, only up a public footpath up the road which is barely used so very difficult to make out where your allowed to walk.
There is a rustic shower available at an additional charge, but we were unable to use this facility due to there being no hot water and the the Toilets were plagued with spiders which was a huge problem for me.
