Another Visit

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this CL and it gets better and better. The pitches are very clearly marked and there is water and electric to each pitch. There are 2 very clean toilets on site (male and female) which provides soap and towel for use. The owners are very friendly and it is great to be able to catch up with them when we stay - feel like a member of the family. We find this site so convenient for visiting friends, but it also offers us a tranquil place to stay, with lots of good walking paths and near to a village.

Lovely CL, Peaceful Surroundings

We have just returned from a long weekend stay. The site is in a peaceful location, not far from a village and looked after with the owners making updates. Clean toilets and friendly owners asking if everything is OK, they clearly want to make sure that the CL is up to the best standards. Great for us with electric hook up and water supply for each user, lovely! We stayed here as two adults and two children. The children loved having the space to run around and the ability to walk around the lakes was relaxing. There are also wooded walks nearby. We walked into the village one night (just over a mile away) and had a delicious meal at the local pub which allows dogs and was busy and thriving. We also had take away fish and chips from the village but be warned the portion sizes were huge! This isn't too far from our home and is somewhere we would come back to. Network connection was good for phones and TV so a great space to get away but still stay connected if you need to. Not sure I should be so honest here as I want to be able to book again in the future!

Perfect

We have just had a weekend here and it was perfect. The peace and quiet was ideal for a relaxing weekend after a busy week at work. I don't want to write a brilliant review as I don't want you lot booking it so I can't get a pitch! This will become one of our bolt holes as it's only an hour from home. We cycled through the forest and along quiet roads, seeing birds, fauna and flora. Just lovely. The site is very well kept, the owners friendly and helpful, the toilets clean and the local fish and chip shop very good. About to book another weekend in a few weeks. 🙂

Very peaceful CL

Very quiet site with all you need.  Approx 20 minute walk to village.  Lots of cycling in the area.  Fishing lakes seem to be "work in progress" but that doesn't detract from the appeal of the site.  Locked gate on site at night.

A Great Find

We don't normally stay in CLs but booked this site as it was a convenient stopping off point on the way to the coast. The site itself is wonderful, well maintained with a clean toilet block. The owners are friendly too. A ten minute walk takes you into the nearby village, turn left out of the entrance. The village has good facilities, two pubs, chip shop, general store etc. This site is definitely worth visiting and we recommend it.

Excellent site with everything you could need.

Good access and very well kept pitches makes this site ideal, particularly each pitch has its own water supply as well as electric. Double check the location visually on a map before you set off, as our SatNav took us down an unmade road to another site, which fortunately we were able to turn around at the end and head back in the right direction after a quick call to the owner. We took our well behaved Border Collie and the site has a small dog walking area, Thetford has some lovely riverside walks which are either paved footpaths or hardcore making it ideal for winter dog walks and keeping the dog clean!! The small toilet block is very well kept and an added bonus too. The owners are very welcoming and we will be returning for sure.

Just How A Modern CL Should Be!

With good access, this CL site is located within easy reach of the A11 making getting there a breeze. The site itself is set in beautiful surroundings with the pitches divided between two distinct areas; the first is very open and therefore perfect for those that like a bit of sun, and the second is in amongst the tress offering a good amount of shade. Both areas are well maintained and offer water and electricity at every pitch. The site has six pitches available though only five are ever used meaning that you will always have the choice of at least two. The small, but very well kept toilet block is another great addition offering an option to those that don't want to use their own toilet for everything. The owners are very welcoming and visit the site on a regular basis; an automatic gate that requires a code during the hours of darkness also helps to make you fell safe and secure. The onsite fishing lakes are well maintained and offer a good experience for those that are interested. The lakes also offer a very pleasant walk either during the day or into the evening. The local village, just 5 minutes drive away, has a couple of decent pubs and a well stocked shop & bakery. We stayed for four nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend and are already planning our next visit. We are a family of four; two adults, a seventeen year old son and a nine year old daughter.

Lovely spot and warm welcome

Had a lovely couple of nights here, with a warm welcome from the owners. A fabulous spot, you can choose sunny or shaded pitches, and just a stones throw away from walking in the Forest which we and the dogs just love. You can walk on a track by the road down to the forest, or a footpath pretty much on site that takes you there past West Harling church. The site is lovely, well drained and grass mown, we did not use the toilets with one on board but they are spotless, with a well organised disposal point and bins. Fishing lakes are there too if you like to take part. We will definitely return to a great find!

LONG WEEKEND IN JULY

This is a great CL with plenty of space on each pitch. A great welcome and nice walks around the fishing ponds. I do not hestitate in recommending this site to other members.
