A Very Pleasantly placed CL for Ironbridge and Area

The situation is, as stated, excellent for getting to Ironbridge, a place that anyone interested in our Industrial Heritage should visit at least once. Buses stop outside or nearby the entrance.Much Wenlock is only about 3 miles away. Ask the owner for details. If you just need shops then a short walk downhill to Broseley centre will find a Spar and various local shops. There is a Co-Op at the far end of the small town. Access to the site could be awkward if you do not follow the advice given by the owner. The third photo shows a barn and you should enter via the right hand side of it, not the left, as seen from the road. Generally access is fine and the CL is through a metal gate. The pitches consist of 2 on Grass, seen in the first 2 photos, the middle one sits on some hardstanding and the first 2 that you come across are hardstanding. Gaps between the first three are not huge but the 2 grass ones seem better. The metal gate shown in the sixth photo gives you access to dog walking land. Plus you can walk from here to Benthall N.T. property about 1 kilometre away. The site has a 6' hedge to the south and open views to the north and as it sits quite high up is a pleasant one in good weather. The emptying point for both Elsan and Waste Water are down the same grid, accessed by lifting the metal lid (2 long handles provided to help you) next to the bungalow. Water and bins and near the entrance gate and a small information hut is also provided. A couple of picnic tables are also provided. At £14 per night it was an acceptable stop for a few nights.
