Great for Ironbridge

We spent 5 days at this CL. When we arrived the owner was not available so we set up as the pitches were clearly marked. The site has great views over Ironbridge. The owner who is an elderly gentleman was outside a little later and was friendly and helpful with information on the site and the surrounding area.  He even had leaflets on Ironbridge. The site is grass which is fairly level also there is a hardstanding area, we pitched on the grass with our caravan. Ironbridge is only a mile or so down a hill from the site and we visited the museums there. There is so much to do in the surrounding area we could have spent much longer and we will certainly return in the future.

Visiting Ironbridge

Very small secluded site with part hard standing al all pretty level ground, with lovely views across the valley. Ease of access to facilities by gate. Entry quite wide. Easy for a motorhome. Helpful and friendly owner.

Bad experience

On booking was told to report to house for pitch. Arrived on time to empty house. Set up and settled in to be told to move as pitch reserved. No sign. Keen to collect fee, felt under pressure. Each time called over no one in. Finally paid and was harassed into buying a history of local church. Tried to make me pay ridiculous amount as that was what everyone else paid. He was totally insensitive as it was clear I had no interest and he continued to harass . A very unpleasant experience and will not be returning.

One of our favourite CLs

One of the best CLs we have visited. It's behind the owner's bungalow in a lawn type field with fantastic views. The owner, in his 80s, is very helpful and made a point of coming to talk to us the day we left. Ironbridge is just a mile down a road, with pavement, so easily walkable. Brosely is also easily walkable for newspapers and small supermarkets.
