Excellent CL

Can highly recommend Leo Farm CL. We really enjoyed our stay here. Linda, the owner, made us very welcome, being so friendly and helpful. The site is well kept with lovely views. Short walk into Broseley, a nice little town with shops, pubs and cafés. About a twenty minute walk down to the Ironbridge, a bit longer coming back as it is quite steep. Well worth buying the yearly passport to visit all the museums if you have a couple of days or more. The Park and Ride is good to get around them all but check when it's running. A lovely walk through the field and paths to Benthall Hall which is also worth a visit. There are buses to Much Wenlock and Telford from the site but not very often. We will definitely be staying at this CL again.

Great LocalPlacesOfInterest to Explore

We have just spent six nights at Leopard. We received a very warm welcome on arrival with advice on where to set up. Although the site was very wet and the ground soft there is a small hard standing area that can squeeze about three outfits on. The site is close to numerous places of interest, Ironbridge, Much Wenlock, the Severn Valley Railway and slightly further afield the Black Country Museum at Dudley. If we were to visit this area again I would certainly return to this CL.

Good welcome. Site convenient for visiting nearby towns/villages of Much Wenlock (check out butchers for pies and meat - worth queuing for!), Ironbridge(walking distance) and Bridgnorth.

Somewhere you feel on top of the world!!

For us this has been where we get into holiday mode every year Ironbrige is the birth place of this modern world, the Industrial revolution, the New Town of Telford, the template of sporting excellence at Much Wenlock, the beauty of Shropshire and the graft of Staffordshire. From this site you can see most of it and definitely sense it. we have kept this our secret for over 6 years. SO THANK YOU NORMAN FOR EVERYTHING!!! Now we must tell you all even if it means we are unable to get back on.

We'll be back!

We've just spent 13 nights on this delightful CL with fabulous views on three sides. Norman, the owner, could not have been more helpful or friendly. My wife was ill for a few days of our stay and Norman checked with me each morning that all was as well as it could be. This CL is ideally placed for visiting the main places of interest in the area. Ironbridge is but a five minute drive away and the village of Broseley has varied shops etc. There are walks from the CL and the bluebell wood in spring is not to be missed. We will definitely be returning to Leo Farm.

Ideal location

We stayed here over Easter 2014, the site was full with five 'vans. We arrived late on the Thursday, and had a grass pitch which was firm and easy to access. Our friends both had hard standing. The waste & grey water was disposed of down a manhole, with a heavy lid. The drinking water and recycling/rubbish was close to the pitches.  We were allowed to use a couple of fields for games, so had a large game of rounders and teh children (5 to 8 years old) could explore and play freely.  The walk into Broseley was ten minutes, for shops and pubs. The drive to Ironbridge gorge was five minutes; there is also a pavement for the fit when returning up hill!  The owner, Norman, was very pleasant, enquired a few times that all was well and also was able to exchange Tesco Days Out vouchers for a coupon for the Ironbridge Museum Passport. The museums that we visited were all good. In addition, we visited RAF Cosford museum and Attingham Park Home Farm, both 1/2 hour drive East & West respectively. We came from Bridgenorth and headed towards Much Wenlock but then took the lorry route to avoid a low bridge and Much Wenlock. The route was very bumpy, and somewhat narrow had we met a lorry, but straight forward. As our Ironbridge passport is for 12 months, we plan to be back and use Leo Farm again!

Rating only 3 stars I cannot believe it

When I saw the site had only 3 stars I was amazed. It is a smashing site with a really nice owner who cannot be more pleasant and helpful. ( He even came and checked on us after a terrible gale during the night. It was pouring down but still checked. you cannot ask for more) The site is in the middle of everything of interest and is so easy to get to. This is my second visit, the last about 7 years ago. People say you would be disappointed to go again after our first visit was so nice. They are wrong. Give it a try you won't be sorry.

Getting to the site can be a little worrying as the route in the book takes you through the middle of Much Wenlock with on street parking making the road very narrow. This can be avoided with a little local knowledge. Entering the site requires a little extra care with longer vehicles but the entrance is clearly labelled.  Norman the Very pleasant owner greeted us on arrival  and explained where everything was, told us about local attractions and sold us tickets to the local museums. He also came to check we were o.k.  after a rather rough night. The site has a  hardstanding area large enough for two caravans and an additional strip to provide tyre width hard standing. The remaining pitches are on well kept grass, clearly marked and provided with E.H.U. Points. The site has lovely views of the Ironbridge valley and is very convenient for the above attractions and Much Wenlock. Unfortunately there is no pub or shop within walking distance.
