what a lovely welcome, even in the rain. a real pleasure to be shown where everything is, which includes the very thoughtful and helpful information shed.
there are a couple of picnic tables to use to admire the countryside views.
there is a bus stop right at the site (which is itself easily accessible). not many buses but good enough to visit Telford or Much Wenlock or places inbetween (timetables in information booth).
fresh water and cdp are both handy. all the pitches, grass and hardstanding come with ehu if required.
Ironbridge is 1.5m away, walkable with a footpath albeit narrow in places and downhill on the way there. stop at the toll house museum when you get there (free entry). several coffee shops, pubs and shops to see too. as the weather was bad we choose to get the bus back (easiest place is in the car park at the far end of town, where you will also find the tourist info). got off bus in Broseley to get a few essentials and a bit more exercise walking up the hill to the site.
even in the worst weather (monsoon type rain for most of our stay) we have felt welcomed and enjoyed our relaxing visit.
PS if you are lucky you may get a greeting from Kenneth the black cat too.
Good location
Lovely welcome from Linda. Shown where all facilities were and made very welcome. Good site for access to Ironbridge and Telford area. Will call again
What's not to love - fantastic
This is a real gem. What's not to love.
The welcome on arrival was fantastic, with a guided tour of where to find the water, elsan and hook up points. There is a useful hut with information about the local area and recycling facilities onsite.
The pitch is level and the views are absolutely outstanding.
There are so many museums nearby to look at and all of them have parking that can accommodate a motorhome. The local carparks in Ironbridge (council run) can also accommodate a motorhome - nothing has a height barrier.
I was recovering from surgery and came for a quite week of recuperation - I could not have hoped for anywhere better. A peaceful, friendly and beautiful site. On of the best I have used.
What a find!
We were in the rainy north yesterday morning and decided to head south where the forecast was better. While en route my husband spent ages looking at the CAMC map and studying the book. We opted for The Leopard based on it being not far from the motorway, near a pub and having good views. We booked over the phone.
We probably didn’t take the best route to get here, but we were met on arrival. V welcoming. There are both hard standing and grass pitches. We chose grass, opting for the v best view. It is right across the Ironbridge Valley. There is walking from the site, so we’ll be back with the dog. We went to The Duke of York Inn last night (20-25 min walk). Sadly the last home made steak & kidney pie had just gone, but we ate heartily and the ale was good. It is dog friendly, we noticed.
There are loads of museums to visit in the vicinity, but I doubt the dog can go. While we are dog free today, we are off to the local clay pipe museum!
Peaceful sight
Friendly welcome, lovely peaceful site easy access to Ironbridge museums, local taxis good value for money.
A beautiful site with stunning views
What a beautiful site. Well kept with stunning views of surrounding countryside. We were made most welcome and would recommend this site to everyone. Only a few miles from Ironbridge and if you're in a campervan like we were with no other transport, the local taxi services are cheap enough to use to sight see if you don't fancy walking in.
Lovely Welcome and Lovely Views.
Linda gave us a genuine and hearty welcome and we immediately felt at home. The site has open views over the countryside of Shropshire and is quiet, yet, surrounded by nearby places of interest. It was a pleasure to stay at this gem of a site. We will be back.
Hidden gem
We found this great gem of a site and have stayed 5 nights and booked to come back at the end of our holiday for a further 3 nights, we enjoyed it so much. Yes, the walk back up from Ironbridge may be steep for some but we enjoyed it each day and didn't find it too difficult but then we are relatively used to hills coming from the Lake District. There is a bus stop just outside the site - we never used it but we did use a taxi to get to Blist Hills, it was only £5 so much more convenient than moving our camper. Great welcoming site to visit to see the area and visit the Ironbridge museums, the majority of which are within walking distance.
Thanks for our lovely stay.

A gem of a site
Just returned from a 4 night bank holiday weekend in our motorhome. The site is well positioned for all the Iron bridge attractions. Owner very friendly and helpful. Site has some wonderful view towards the Wrekin and good local pubs along the river Seven. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended we will be returning.
Friendly Site
Have just stayed for five nights on this site. We received a friendly welcome from the owner and shown to our pitch. The site is well kept with all the basic facilities you want. It is ideally situated to visit the world heritage site of Iron Bridge gorge and surrounding areas. All facilities are within easy reach in the village of Broseley. The site was peaceful and excellent for just chilling out. We will be back to this site again.
