Laughing Fish
Visited this area to catch up with family and friends.
Couldn't have worked out better.
Entrance is gained through pub car park which to be honest is a 'bit tight' if you are not confident with your outfit but we managed with a large 4 x 4 and 25ft caravan so should be accessible for most.
Once we arrived we popped into the pub to make them aware of our arrival where we were greeted by Andy and Linda who directed us to our pitch and gave us a warm welcome. The pitch was up a short hill (however the 4 x 4 was needed as there had been a fair amount of rain and the track did become a little muddy - can't control the weather!!).
Once we had sorted ourselves out and had our first cuppa we went back to the pub, had a bit of a chat and booked our first table for the week for that evening. We explained that we were expecting quite a few visitors over the course of the week which we were told was not going to be a problem.
Enjoyed a great meal that evening and proceeded to book more through the course of the week to accommodate our visitors. (One mistake we made was we forgot to book for Friday lunchtime and therefore we went elsewhere).
Apart from the weather we were more than happy with our stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.
Lovely CL
This CL is situated right next door to the "Lavender Line" steam railway. Our son and his wife and children visited us here and thoroughly enjoyed the day with a ride on the steam train and plenty of space on the site to run about. For us it is perfectly situated in fields behind the pub. There was a motorcaravanning rally being held in the adjacent field when we were there and we enjoyed chatting to the members. It is lovely and peaceful and yet within easy reach of Brighton (bus stop close by) Highly recommended to escape everyday stress. On a weekend when the train is running you could imagine you are in a bygone age just the chuff of the train and the birdsong. Bliss!

Good CL just a short stroll from an excellent village pub
PROS: Nice CL separated by a small field from the Laughing Fish pub which serves excellent home-made food and ice cold beer in a pleasing environment. Quiet location with electrical hook-ups and average CL facilities. There are five pitches in a row but it didn't feel crowded as there was only one other visitor when we stayed and the owner ensured maximum separation when allocating our pitch. CONS: Long grass which was a bit worrying as we found dog poo on our pitch on arrival which encouraged us to walk very tentatively thereafter. Might feel a little crowded if all pitches taken due to pitches being side by side in a row.
