Fantastic choice for our maiden voyage

Thanks to Chris and Jan, just back from 2 nights at this beautiful CL site as first timers in our new caravan. Water and 16 amp EHU to each pitch. Waste disposal and bins near to the CL field. Very relaxed site, dog walks in the fields behind the farm and either way down the road to the nearby villages (with pubs and the Wharf tea room on the canal) . The on site 'Sarsfield' tea room/cafe is fantastic and brand new. We used it for a superb afternoon tea (a must) and takeaway coffees (they have a proper machine) during the stay. It also specializes in making chocolate and you can do a tasting... Despite being local we will be back as this site is perfect for us. I also know have a favorite pitch number but not sharing lol In summary, a fantastic CL choice for our first outing that ensured we enjoyed the experience in the new van with our two dogs...

Welcoming and Peacful

Welcome on arrival was lovely. We were shown to our pitch which had great views over the country side. Chris the owner made sure the pitch was right for us and checked that we had settled in OK. Our dogs loved the local walks straight from site, which were mown and easy to navigate. The site is very well kept and the chocolate themed café on site is a real bonus. The village is an easy walk across the fields to the pub and tea room.

Everything that could be done to make the stay excellent was done. Cafe/ chocolatier on site worth the short walk, chocolates to die for. walks in the surrounding area including local pub & canal. If you are lucky as when you visit, you may get fresh Tomatoes warm from greenhouse. throughly recommend this site & we will be back

Weekend Break

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely CL. We were met by Chris on our arrival. The site is level with large pitches. Everything is very well maintained and clean. Great for dog walking and lovely friendly pubs within easy walking distance. The canal is also close for walking, and the Old Wharf cafe in Hickling is great. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great site, made to feel welcome. It was good to be back out and about.

This was our first weekend away after lockdown and it was a great place to start. Met by Chris, who was both welcoming and informative and continued to be so throughout. Good dog walks and surrounded by great places to visit. Would reccomend and will definately be returning.

Lovely Relaxing Stay

Just returned from a few days at this beautifully kept site. The perfect spot for a post Lockdown break, set in spacious, flat grounds and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owner, Chris, gives a warm welcome and keeps everything in tiptop condition. There is a very nice tea room closeby, two pubs within a mile and plenty of country walks. Only a short drive to Melton Mowbray. Already hoping to return next year.

Premier CL

If there was a Premier league of cos we would include Grove Farm at Kinoulton. Very well maintained. Fine flat grass field, with electric and water points around the field, practical waste facilities and easy access. Plus a friendly owner who gave us fresh tomatoes from his greenhouse. A very pleasant 6 day stay.

An excellent CL for walkers

This was our second stay at Grove Farm and it was just as good as the first. Chris replied quickly to me email request and arrival times etc were confirmed. Upon arrival Chris arrived to greet us and was very welcoming confirming the facilities and there was local factsheet as well with walks, pubs and things to do listed. This site is ideal for walks or bike rides along the Grantham Canal which is why we chose it and the 2 local villages (Hickling and Kinoulton) both have good pubs and there is a nice café in Hickling next to the Canal. In summary a great little CL, friendly hosts and a nice relaxing location. We are already planning to stay again hopefully in the next couple of months.

Really nice site - will come back

This is a very nice site in a beautiful part of the South Notts Countryside. We were here just for one night, wish it could have been more. Chris very welcoming. The information sheet given to us on arrival was very useful. The CL is grass; well maintained and level. As we were the only people on the site we were offered gravel hard standing which was fine for us. There is a nice walk to Hickling and along the towpath of the Grantham canal, at the wharf there is a cafe and a decent pub opposite which I guess is lively later in the year. At Kinoulton there is another pub. Nottingham, West Bridgford very close by for all their attractions; this place is ideal for Trent Bridge Cricket ground!
