Just want to say a big thankyou to Lorraine and Tony, who made us feel very welcome. The site has good access, so dont be put off by the little lane in, we are a 8m motorhome and it was a breeze, but please be respectful of the farm animals, as they will come right up to you, which was lovely. Do follow Lorraines instructions because if you come in from the wrong direction you wont get under the bridge, unless you are low and car size. No road noise, just birds, and a nice view at the end of the site. We stayed for 9 nights and didnt want to leave. The walks within 1 hours drive are varied and vast, pretty villages and places to see, keeps bringing us back to the Ashbourne area. Good chip shop - Queens in Ashbourne, but beware portions are huge. Your pitch fee has some electric hook up built in and despite running a big fridge freezer, hot water, lights etc we didnt need to pay any extra. In colder months, you may run up a small fee, but the pitch price is really reasonable for what you get so, I would be happy to pay this and I feel this is a very fair system.
