My wife and I recently spent five nights in our caravan at this new site, meeting up with friends in their motorhome. The owners Tony and Lorraine were extremely friendly and helpful throughout, and were keen to ensure that all our needs were met. We found the facilities first-rate; with water, electricity and waste soakaway provision to each hardstanding pitch. The site is is just outside the Peak District National Park, but close enough to make daily excursions to the usual beauty spots such as Dovedale, Carsington Water, the Tissington Trail, and so on. Also, there are plenty of footpaths accessible directly from the site. We thoroughly recommend this site and will certainly aim to book again when we're next in the area.
Just spent the weekend in our motorhome on this site, meeting up with friends who stayed in their caravan. Very peaceful site which has excellent serviced pitches each with their own water supply, EHU and soakaway for grey water. The off lead dog exercise paddock was a great space for our dog to let off steam. There’s also a footpath a few yards down the road from the site leading across meadows and round a small lake. The Shire Horse pub serves good food and is just a couple of miles away and we were able to get a table on a Friday evening even though we hadn’t booked. The site owners were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay and we look forward to returning again soon.
I think we were about the third customer, to this newly opened site.
This location is stunning , just off the A52, with easy access from Ashbourne.
The peak District is a fantastically beautiful place to visit, but we have always found the area to be crowded and full of visitors , walking and climbing the area. So we were lucky to find this peaceful tranquil site. Hidden within the beautiful countryside away from the crowds.
Well laid out, with full service pitches, spacious hard standing with grassed area for the awning or sitting
Very helpful and friendly owners, who couldn't do enough to help or assist us, during our stay. .
Dog friendly with public footpath near by , bus stop a short distance away .
Asbourne has supermarkets , such as Aldi , M & S food hall and an unspoilt market town.
Close enough to visit
