Lovely site

This is a new site, and it is immaculate. All 5 pitches have EHU and water, and a very useful light on the post of each one if you need it in the dark. The HS pitches have loads of space for awnings and cars, and there are also a couple of parking spaces for extras. Chemical waste spot is well fenced off and there are good sized recycling bins. The owner Paul responds really quickly to messages, and clearly has put a lot of time and effort into this site. Couldn’t fault it at all. There are lots of things to do in the area…RHS Hyde Hall is beautiful, and there are lovely walks along the canal to the locks.

A Great Find!

This is an excellent little site. Five large serviced pitches and well maintained. Very quiet location with plenty of walks and woods to explore right on the doorstep with the bonus of a pub just a few minutes walk away. Good communication with the owner who gave clear arrival details and checked everything was ok once we had settled in. Highly recommended.

Overnight Stay With A Friend

Stayed here with a friend just for the 1 night. Perfect little site, gravel drive and pitches, all of which are fully serviced. Price includes wi-fi which was very fast. Lovely and peaceful and a great pub, The Rodney in the village. Had Sunday lunch there which was fantastic. Paul the owner provided all necessary information via email prior to our stay. Will definitely be back

A hidden gem in a wonderful location

To everyone that enjoys getting away and being spoilt. The site is spotless and the pitches are more than spacious. Although I never got the chance to meet up with Paul he did call me and sent me emails regarding my arrival etc, a lovely guy to deal with who takes pride in everything he does. I walked to the Rodney Inn down the road and had fantastic meal and a few beers of course, the pub is lovely and like everything else is spotless. In the spring and summer dogs can be taken to the pubs beer garden as they are not allowed inside the pub as the areas are compact. My two black labs are looking forward to checking it out for themselves. I will going back in 2024 for sure and may see you there !!!! Jim

Trip to little baddow

Paul contacted us to check we had directions to the site and explained how to open the gate. The site is beautiful set in a wooded glade. All facilities were in tip top condition. We visited Hyde Hall and also had a day in Chelmsford using the park and ride. A nice little 3 night stay. We stayed between 30/11/23 and 2/12/23.

Quality,quiet and immaculate site

A lovely site, tucked away in the village surrounded by trees, two local pubs although the nearest one is closed at the moment being refurbished. Danbury is only a few minutes drive away with a well stocked Co-op. We done a lot of walking along footpaths and in country parks, many more places to see so will visit again. Lovely having the fresh water and grey water waste on each pitch(fully serviced) , this site is a credit to Paul , well kept and hopefully will be well used by other caravaners. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Lovely countryside location

Lovely quiet campsite, in countryside with some nice bike rides and walks nearby. Near enough to Chelmsford but not great with a Motorhome as parking is premium there and not motorhome friendly. Easy access to Hatfield Peverel which was our main reason for visit. Very clean and nicely laid out. Pity the local pub didn’t accommodate dogs! Would recommend

Peace and tranquility!

Fantastic and helpful communication with Paul - especially as we are complete novices and this was a first night away. This small site is set in beautiful countryside, brilliant for walks and exploring. Grounds extremely well kept. Each pitch has EHU, tap and grey water disposal facilities. Just outside the gate is a full range of recycling bins and waste. Only possible improvement would be to add toilet and shower facilities but it does clearly state these are not available. Highly recommended!

The Courts

This is a beautifully maintained site in a tucked away location. Paul gave us a wonderful welcome and we enjoyed the stunning countryside walks direct from the site. We will definitely return.

Beautiful secret hideaway.

We visited here for three nights in October and were very impressed indeed. This is a new site (May 2023) and we met Paul who is very friendly, easy to chat to and very open to suggestions. The site is all gravel and stone so no mud to contend with, the pitches are huge with a freshly laid Laurel hedging between pitches. You are just off a small village but in the woods and under the trees which meant it was supremely quiet and undisturbed. Everything is brand new and fastidiously maintained by Paul which is a credit to him. He did ask for any feedback to help him move forward, but we could not really think of anything, which is unusual for us! We will return and want to try the walks around the woods plus visit the canal and tea rooms at the bottom of the hill next time around. Thanks again Paul, you are setting the bar very high for a small independent CL.
